I'll be scheduling the first rust proofing of my Mach E soon. I had it done annually on my last car which helped it last to 19 years age before I sold it in great condition. In my opinion, it's as important as any other maintenance. I live in a true four seasons part of the world where almost everything falls from the sky sometime in the year.

Are there any areas of the Mach E which are must-do or do-not-do? I'm thinking specfically about high-volt electrical areas and sensors.

I suggest you check to see if the place you use has ever done a Mach-E before. There's almost nothing worth spraying. If they're smart, they'll decline the job.

My local shop thst has been in business for 46 years and with a high satisfaction rating declined mine due to EV being new and a fear of the unknown. I was the first EV owner to approach the shop. I can remember another forum member had rust proofing done on a limited basis as the underneath battery panels were not removed.

The front, rear fenders and the hood are aluminum. The tailgate is plastic. So maybe just the passenger doors, those are steel.
