I charging was widespread and reliable, none of this would be an issue. Manufacturers are spooked and all the early adopters are settled in. The rest are waiting for the charging to become like a brief stop at any gas station. Years away..
More abundant and reliable DCFC, and charging becoming a brief stop, are not the same problem. The latter is going to require better battery tech.

But otherwise, totally agree. Manufacturers are spooked. They don’t want lose billions making a product that isn’t ready for mass adoption.

I guess I am glad I have another 18 months until my Options contract comes due. Would like to go with a 26MY but also do not want to go with a vehicle they are phasing out. Should know more by then.

I'm in the same boat. My options are keep the mache and pay it off entirely, upgrade to whatever is next, or give it back to Ford and get another EV. At this point I'm leaning towards #3, but I may just opt for inertia and do #1. But regardles, it doesn't sound like #2 will be my preference.

I've read every post and enjoyed the pondering, guessing, as well as the parsing of facts that we are sure of.

And there's some compelling predictions that are opposed. But I'm comfortable with that too because I don't have the self inflicted burden to KNOW the future. And I can't remember it ever being more unpredictable in my 7 decades on the planet.

Regardless, I'm very pleased with the choices I've made already. As content as I can be considering the gambles I've made.

I don't know how long I will actually keep my cars/trucks. But I only make changes when I can't talk myself out of it anyways. ?

Time will tell. I’ll probably buy another Mache around 2025-2026. So hopefully some minor improvements made.
