aMany companies offer charging as an employee benefit. And in some places there's govt incentives for them to do so. That said, I wouldn't suggest plugging in without asking if there's not an established policy. Of course if the company had an issue, they'd just ask you to stop.
Agree with this sentiment. If the ultimate goal is cost minimization look for a used cheap EV with the required range and maximum efficiency.I suspect that's where I get stuck in this question. If maximum savings was your objective then buying any new car is probably not the optimal path. I don't think we can put a dollar amount on how much more you will enjoy the Mach-E over those hybrid offerings.
There has been good info provided here on the charging times. I'd note that even if you had to spill over say 30 minutes into the higher rate it won't change that much on your total cost.
