Sorry if I missed this, is Secure Alert standard equipment or is it dealer-installed?
If you have OTA 1.4.0 it should be available in the Ford Pass app..

"Should" is the important word.

I started getting this for first time, I was in Jamaica and said rear door was opened. Time stamp was when I went back to get my hate, with fob, opened door got hat, walked away and heard it lock. This is totally stupid alert ford.

Ya I just reread the about info. One would assume if someone walks up to the car with an active key it would not generate an alert like most alarms, guess I was wrong.

Seems like a missed opportunity.
Also, it should not generate an alarm when you stop the car and get out.

@Ford Team: Any input on how Securialert was supposed to operate?

Might be nice if it alerts even in that case.

Assume a scenario where someone does clone your key and drives off.

You'd get an alert when it was taken, plus you'd also get alerted when they stop and get out which I think would be helpful to law enforcement trying to track down where it went. Of course this assumes some delay in them turning off the modem.

Or to find out if your kid has been sneaking rides in the Mach E?

As an option, an alert each and every time a door is opened could be useful to some folks. As a default, this is far too many alerts for my taste.

I set up SecuriAlert to only operate 23:00-07:00.

I think they did it right by starting with an always alerting default when on. Without that functionality it doesn't really pad the test as a security backup. But I agree, they should include updates to better structure updates.

I think geo fencing would be helpful.

I only have this on for her "bedtime" & have not had any notifications, thankfully. The only problem I'm having is the SecuriAlert seems to get "stolen" a few times a week-what? It just disappears & pops up a few days later with the "bedtime" program still there. What kind of a security system is that?! lol
