For now, one of the only advantages of the iOS ecosystem ?.
Hey now!!! :) I've owned Android phones since the very first one came out on Sprint back in 2009 I think. I'm also an IT guy (since back in 94) who enjoys the tech stuff.

About 6 months ago I switched to iPhone and I don't think I'll go back. I'm not rooting or installing roms or trying to hack the phone so I could tether data for free anymore. I've super enjoyed the iOS experience so far. If nothing else, all the privacy you get on iOS makes it worth the switch. The amount of data that google collects is absolutely UNREAL, but people accept it because its coinvent.

I'm not an Apple fanboy, they are still behind Android, but I'm fine with that.

For now, one of the only advantages of the iOS ecosystem ?. Ford tested and fixed the scheduling feature there, but not on Android.
The scheduling feature still doesn’t work on my iPhone. FP is “lacking.” ;)

Ok, scratch my previous post then.

New theory: SecuriAlert only works with Grabber Blue vehicles, or for people who personally know at least ten marine biologists.

I’m sorely lacking then. Infinitely limited blue. And I know exactly two Marine Biologists, one of whom you know. But I do know a vulcanologist … Mr. Spock. :p

Actually I wish I could get the scheduling to work. I’d use it then.

The scheduling feature doesn't seem to work currently on the newest Android version of FP... It did work previously and my schedule still runs.

Personally, the usefulness of this feature is low for me, but then again it's parked inside an attached garage most of the time.

I think the feature needs some refining (specifically FP needs to work consistently), but the issue isn't the feature is "too noisy"

The feature just needs to be used effectively. If you are driving the vehicle, turn off the alarm! If you want to be alerted, turn it on.

If you want certain improvements, give them to Ford. Like - geo fencing or setting "safe zones", IFTTT integration, ability to differentiate notifications (i.e. only notify if a door is left open for x minutes instead of every time), allow two-way communications in the event of a notification (so you can yell at your child for taking the mach-e to pick up their friend late at night)....

Oh my goodness. I just turned this “feature” on.

This thing sends alerts EVERY time a door is opened. Walk up to the car and open the door, alert, kid opens her door, alert 2nd kid opens her door alert. Getting out of the car, alert alert alert three times.

This “feature” is so far from being ready.

The feature is intended as an alarm. Just like any alarm it should send an alert wherever it is on.

If you are going to be using the vehicle, turn off the alarm.

I’d be fine with it notifying me each time if it didn’t also put every notification on the list as an unread one with the associated badging on the app icon.

I agree that would improve the experience. However I think the issue isn't isolated to this feature, it's how the app handles all notifications. My app is full of "messages" saying target charge reached... While I like knowing when a target charge is reached, there really is no benefit to the unread messages it generates.

Ya I just reread the about info. One would assume if someone walks up to the car with an active key it would not generate an alert like most alarms, guess I was wrong.

Seems like a missed opportunity.

It's a redundant security function. Basically if someone clones a key it will still function since it isn't just based on the key.

Sorry if I missed this, is Secure Alert standard equipment or is it dealer-installed?
