Effectively immediately, all service and recall programs for the Mach-E that involve powertrain software updates have been halted. This seems to be related to intermittent 1-Pedal drive faults encountered on a small population of vehicles after powertrain software updates were recently performed by dealers. Here is the list of programs stopped:
Ford mobile service completed this software update for me an hour or less before you posted. I've barely driven the car since then, but I'll keep an eye out for an increase in 1PD faults.

Btw, I wonder what this is going to do to the "4/29" date that was teased on these forums. (Hinting that Ford at least at one point had planned to release something on 4/29...some of us optimistically predicted BC 1.4. Wonder if that's on hold now, whatever it was supposed to be.)

I just want them to roll back the hvac update done initially , during the first winter we used heat with no major energy consumption, now we get the chill out and shut if off. will eat the entire charge in about 110 miles?‍♂
Agree the original HVAC was great no major problems. Then some whined that they were cold and we have what we have today.

Mine has been great also. A few minor issues, nothing major. I figure I'll just keep the Ford, until something much better comes along.
I bought it, I own it and will for awhile until all manufactures get their feet on the ground. Love the new tech and saving too much on gas not to stick to EV's. To be honest starting to feel a bit sorry for Ford. If anything can go wrong it will. At some point they need to caught a break.

Oh they got it right. I guess the last objective was to piss everyone off so they wouldn't try to buy another Ford EV ever. I think that was supposed to be BC1.3. But you know software.. better to push out some packages and break a lot of things than wait until the release and break it all.

How can this be this unstable. Death by 1000 bandaids.
Slipping in software with no release notes that crap out your L2 charging speed was not their shining moment for me.

The 4/29 date is all about Hawaiian avocados and the OTA shut down should have no impact on that. ;)

Is this going to affect those of us with cars in service for a new HVBJB after the recall was done prior?

So uh, on my 2021 Job 1 with the original HVBJB and 24K miles, what happens on my upcoming 2000 mile road trip if it finally craps out? Is my car going to be sitting at some backwater Ford dealership for 6 months until Ford gets their shit together, or do actual failures still get the work done?

hello, yesterday I stopped in a parking lot and impossible to leave, I had the following message, "total power activated".
And I have already had the message "powertrain fault light and HT battery warning" three times, with a loss of power which disappears after each OTA update. Is it serious doctor ??

Any idea if this is also going to fix the ota issue for the many of us who have not had an ota update since august 2023, 9 months ago?

It appears HVBJB failures (Service Vehicle Soon or Stop Safely Now message active) will be handled on a per-case basis. The service engineers will likely determine if your powertrain software level is recent enough to accept the new HVBJB as-is, and if so they can proceed with the HVBJB replacement while skipping the software update portion of the repair. Most vehicles will fall into this category unless you're way behind on OTAs. Vehicles with very outdated software might need special intervention to flash a non-affected version.

As usual, vehicles that are actually broken will get priority over preventive repairs. This halt only affects preventive repair programs.

I just had the Charge Cord Stuck update done last week! And I'm scheduled to have the front facing camera done tomorrow morning. Unless I'm reading this wrong, they should be able to do the front facing camera BlueCruise fix? Does anyone read it different?

OMFG... So - I dropped my car off to the dealership on April 15th (2 weeks ago) - for the HVBJB recall though I had booked the appt back in March- it was the earliest they could take in my vehicle.

Wasn't too concerned about the delay as I had received a loaner (brand new Explorer) figured- better to put miles on someone else's car. ;)

I have used this dealership for much other work and have been very pleased with their skills and customer service.

I called last week for an update and the SA sheepishly said "I am so sorry - the tech has not been able to look at your car yet as he was having issues with another one that was in for similar recall work but he should get to it by Friday."

So I just got the dreaded call "you can pickup your car, but unfortunately, the tech was unable to perform any SW updates due to a stop fix from Ford".. So I guess he didn't get to it until this morning... Sheesh...

Hopefully it's completely temporary and they get the green light in the next few days.

For anyone who got the HVBJB recall done, has it had any impact on performance of the vehicle (good or bad?). I thought Ford had reduced the battery draw limiting power as a precaution to avoid overheating this part until replaced. True?

Is there anything else I should request the dealer action in terms of TSBs? He didn't mention anything else except one other module SW update.

I'll have to go back and read all of the comments. THANKS!

I just dropped off my vehicle Friday morning. They did the 23B50 update, and Monday, the called me to say: "So sorry, we got a message from ford that listed a ton of updates we SHOULD NOT DO or it will disable bluecruise.

I pay a subscription for bluecruse, and after 40 minutes waiting, the 3rd department said words to the effect of "We don't refund subscription fees" - YOUR SOFTWARE UPDATE BROKE IT @Ford Motor Company .

I suspect my next call is to Visa to start the chargeback process.

too bad there is no way to roll-back all modules to some known stable set of compatible versions across the board.... It would be the best way to 'catch up' people that are either way behind on updates, or have kept up and introduced bugs with unstble/incompatible builds of specific modules.

Oh it's doable.
But FDRS in the hands of a dealership technician isn't setup for "rolling back". I suspect that is by design and prevents more problems than it would solve.

I think you were misinformed. The updates in question disable 1 Pedal Driving mode. ??
