The hold has been lifted and the service programs may now resume. The new software is available that fixes the 1PD issue. Vehicles updated between 4/26 and 5/5 will need the software reflashed.

I think I will still wait a week or two for Mike’s shake-down of his car. ??

Did those updates solve the drive mode switching issue too, or just the 1PD issue? ??

This FDRS, are these the same handheld tuners they use on ICE vehicles or is it specific to an EV?

Where can we find this officially? My dealer didn’t receive anything and the Ford tech handling my issue said no one has told him.

Yes, my dealer was notified by Ford this afternoon that the hold was released and he was able to order a replacement HVBJB to repair my fried unit.

Wait… Upon further review all except the 23B50 are to resume. That’s the one I need. Sigh. Oh well. Wishful thinking. Back to the loaner I go.

Why are you in a loaner for 23B50? That’s a less than an hour repair. If they can’t do it, then you come back a different day.

They did the update now my vehicle won’t charge. If I can’t charge then I can’t drive it.

Strange that it won’t charge. All 23B50 states is that the BECM needs to be updated (new transfer function for overheat protection). Only thing I can think of is your charge port overheated prior to the update and now it’s refusing a charge as the values are outside acceptable parameters.

The BECM software is part of the overall powertrain series, and that has been released now. My guess is they are either trying to fine tune the transfer function or they are waiting for parts for new charge ports.

why only vehicles updated from 4/26 will have to have the new software? My Mach E was updated in the week of 4/8 and I had the problem with 1PD.

He must not bother to read his SSM's

so.... are there specific version numbers of specific modules that need to be re-flashed (via dealer, FDRS, or OTA) such that it is possible to tell if you are 'done' and fixed ?

i.e. I am wondering if it is even possible to create an index of known compatible and 'stable' module versions to create a 'latest' aggregate build library ? i.e. something that people *could* either skip ahead to , or roll back to ?

is it even possible to save 'versions' of all module software, and burn them to CD so that a dealer (or private FDRS owner) could re-flash all modules to a known 'good' collection ?
