I got the email from Ford to have the HVBJB recall completed, made an appointment for this Thursday.

Now I see this thread...........sent email to service writer for clarification.

who knows, I may get it done, I may not

Oh yeah, it's standard practice for me to double check 1 pedal and mirror folding upon lock after every update ;)
I've had the car back for 2 weeks now.
Observations:

1) Bluecruise is working normally.
2) I tried one-pedal driving, it seems to work as designed. But I hate the one-pedal mode. So that's still turned off. I only enabled it to see if it was working
3) Most concerning: pre-collision assist is NOT working as expected.
I tested at slow speeds on local roads - it's typically triggered by cars making slow right turns as they turn into a subdivision.

Why are you in a loaner for 23B50? That’s a less than an hour repair. If they can’t do it, then you come back a different day.
It took my dealership about 4 hours to do various "software updates".

That’s pretty close to “normal” behavior. Adjust the sensitivity in settings if you think it’s going off to easily.

Effectively immediately, service and recall programs for the Mach-E that involve powertrain software updates have been resumed. This seems to be related to intermittent 1-Pedal drive faults encountered on a small population of vehicles after powertrain software updates were recently performed by dealers. Here is the list of programs stopped:
If your vehicle is scheduled for service on any of these programs, that service will need to be postponed until further notice.

5/7 Update - The hold has been removed (except 23B50) and the service programs can resume. Vehicles updated between 4/26 and 5/5 will need to come back to get the software re-flashed.

Is there a letter or reference from Ford stating they resumed? someone on the FB group said their dealer so its hasnt resumed.

My Ford dealer went from not scheduling my 23S56 and 23B50 2-3 weeks ago, to being able to schedule it last week, so they saw something in their system that allowed these to be resumed.

I had to convince my service manager that holds were released when I brought the car in last Monday. They did 23S56 and a few others, but 23B50 was still on hold.

Took mine in a couple weeks ago for 40k checkup and the HVBJB recall work. They did the 40k stuff but gave me the car back without the recall as the software update went on hold.

They called me last week and said the recall was a go. Scheduled me to bring it in Thursday. On Sunday, I snooped around the lot and the car was sitting there, no marks on the battery bolts. Swung by Monday morning on my way to run errands, peeked through the window and the car was on the hoist. Got a call late Monday afternoon that the work was done. They have a couple EV-savvy technicians but only one battery jack, so I'm guessing somebody's car was ahead of mine in line. No biggie, the spare car needed to stretch its legs for a few days anyway.

Picked the car up Tuesday and it's running like a champ, doesn't seem to have lost any radio presets, seat presets, or any of that. Can't speak to the 1PD issue as I'm still getting used to not having a clutch pedal.

Bonus: there was a big enough lag between the 40k checkup and the recall work, that the 40k work got purged from the billing database and rather than screw with it, they comp'd me the 40k checkup work. Talked to the technician and he said the only thing of note on the checkup was the tires should probably be replaced before winter, which I already knew.

Aside from waiting around all day for the courier to bring the car so I could give him a ride back to the dealership (kinda wish I hadn't offered), this has been a very positive experience.

My question is the following. I had the HVBJB and all the other updates completed by my dealer a week before the stop, should I be concerned?

For those that have had this work done do you get a loaner as part of the fix? Is it typically a Mach-e loaner?

My dealer says a loaner car is standard for warranty work. I had one of these service items done earlier this month, and they lent me a RWD Select. They try to give electric loaners to electric owners, but they only have a couple Mach-E available so sometimes you get a gas car.

You've got a great dealer, apparently. Most don't offer their customers any kind of loaner, let alone an actual EV!

I agree, but it’s NOT going off at all now. So I’m sending my dealer notes on TSBs related to Front Camera Fault/pre-collision assist not available.

(They don’t seem very EV-savvy)

Sadly, there’s a lot of that going around. Camera faults aren’t EV exclusive though which makes it doubly bad.
