Anybody have any experience with theses little panels on the cabin side of the wheel wells. 3 out of 4 of mine seem like they’re coming off. I’m not sure how they’re held on. Could it be double-sided tape?

I haven't had that issue, but Ford does like double sided tape. Had to re-glue several things on my wife's explorer. I use lexel silicone from Lowe's. That stuff holds tight to anything.

You know those are removed and replaced when the HVJB is done right? They have to take those off to drop the pack. "Proximate cause" d'ya think?

No, I didn’t know that but it was done almost a year ago.

I would be willing to bet that it's only going to show up on cars that have had the HVJB work done.

So, there should be a lot of cars out there that might have the problem. Any solutions?

Well, it depends on whether they removed them correctly, or just yanked them off. What I'm suggesting is that whoever removed yours may not have ever done it before, and just ended up removing them 'the wrong way' and they got damaged. I'm suggesting this as a reasonable possibility, and you would therefore be able to get them to replace them if it's agreed that this was the cause of the failure.

So, it looks like you have access to the service manual. I don’t. Any way you could send me that “Rocket Panel Moulding (501-08) Exterior Trim and Ornamentation, Removal and Installation” entry? You can DM me if you prefer. That would help a lot. Let me know. Thanks.

I looked at mine and passenger side is loose on one end. I had the HVBJB replaced.
