This software update contains the following key changes:

We've resolved a module communication issue that could have prevented sound from playing through your vehicle's radio.

We've resolved an issue that caused your vehicle's propulsion sound setting to reset.

Awesome. Finally, the disappearing SiriusXM channels has been fixed. Oh wait. Just kidding. Nobody cares about that but those who have to put the lost channels back in, and when I do it, I sing my No More Fords song. Unless Ford ditches the MME and brings out a Mustang truck which has a higher probability of happening than fixing the channel issue.

I haven't had any audio issues for a while, so maybe the connectivity issues of the past are just as much Apple's fault as Ford, GM, etc. iOS 27 is supposed to bring many improvements to wireless CarPlay. I'm running Beta 2. So far, so good.

Still waiting on Ford to download and install Sync 26.2.8.3 for my 2022.

Have a 2023 (Netherlands) and have not received anything for months.

Said 42 minutes update was done in 5. Maybe that is the worse case.

The only issue I ever encounter is no sound from the left speaker when CarPlay starts.

It’s rare. And pausing the audio for just 5 seconds fixes it. So all in all very minor.

Update: a few of my settings went back to factory defaults. Annoying, but easy to fix.

Has anyone had any audio issues after this update? Mine updated last night, and now my center speaker sounds like it's either blown, or loose. It's especially noticeable on talk shows and songs with prominent singing. 2023 Mach-E Premium.

Check your audio settings, stereo vs. surround mode. It may have changed after the update. Surround uses the center speaker. If you have been using stereo mode previously, you may not realize the center speaker is blown.

You can try disconnecting the 12V battery, but if the center speaker still sounds bad, it may need replacement.

Finally got the update yesterday. Looks like they staggered the three required updates over three weeks. It's a nice update. I do like the updated phone selection option in the top left-hand corner.
