I searched and could not find any threads addressing this issue.

I recently picked up CPO 2024 MME GT. I noticed that even though I set software updates to on in the ford app, nothing was downloading to the car. Setup WiFi on home network, logged in to owner.ford.com, noticed there were updates pending nut not installed. Checked the owners manual and internet, ai, etc and everything kept referring the settings page, but there is no such page in the sync menu.

So today I called tech support, did the module reset for ford sync, but that did not fix it. They recommended bring to the dealer for a master reset. I would try this on my own, but apparently it’s accessed from the settings page (doh!)

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Went to the dealership today and updated sync to version 24170 from 24058.

They also said I had a corrupted gateway module and updated that.

However I still do not see a software update option in SYNC.

They also told me CPO and extended warranties do not cover programming, not happy about that as I have 500 or so miles left on the 3/36.

Which online page shows pending update? I actually have a pending update that will install tonight. But my ford.com software update dashboard says nothing about.

https://www.ford.com/support/software-updates

if you login it should have a list of your registered vehicle(s) and show something like

Ford Mustang Mach-E Software update page missing in SYNC IMG_0589

I should add that this page looked different yesterday, before I brought it to the dealership, the vehicle image was on the right, there were 2 bullet warnings on the left. 1 for sync and 1 for navigation.

@green_machine Message me the VIN. I've seen the config for this get turned off a time or two. I don't know how it happens, but it somehow does.

If you know your way around FORScan, check what you have here in the APIM:

This is what I see on the cloud:

Ford Mustang Mach-E Software update page missing in SYNC 1765473576085-jk

Checked two other 2024 Mach E and they also show a 0 there (which means OTAs are enabled), so that's not it.

I'll dig through the spreadsheet to see if I see anything else related to updates in the APIM. However, there is so much sh*t in the APIM that uses acronymns that could mean anything. Very strange.

Thank you.

here is copy of the work order from the dealership

Ford Mustang Mach-E Software update page missing in SYNC IMG_7222

Of note in ā€œabout SYNCā€ it now lists a MAC address for system updates, where prior to the work there was none.

I downloaded forscan viewer for iOS, said my elm was too slow (68ms) but I was able to view some vehicle data. I say some, as there was no APIM module info. Not sure if this a version/platform/adapter issue. I did export all the info, logs and codes.

Here the gateway module info (1 of 3 DTCs, the other 2 were read errors, due to the adapter?):

GWM - Gateway Module A

Firstly: lmao@worked through lunch.

Well, there is the issue. Why tf would they let the vehicle go with corrupted firmware/config in the GWM? Your connectivity seems to be working, but it is reporting limited data to the cloud. I see the tech notes said the code went away, but I call bull sh*t. The GWM OTA that was sent to you didn't fail per se......you vehicle never pinged the server back to accept it so it timed out.

They did update the GWM. If you look at the details of the failed OTA, the GWM was previously on the FAR strategy and FORScan now shows it is on GAM, so they did do the update that was not able to go through OTA. PTS also shows auto updates is turned on in your car.

Hard to tell based on this if the GWM is toast or if there if there is bad data on the server side that is corrupting the GWM, but a misconfifgured GWM can cause all kinds of weird issues. You can try disconnecting the negative cable from the 12v battery to force a hard reset. Very unlikley that will fix anything IMO, but it won't hurt anything to try.

As predicted battery disconnect had no effect, bringing in Wednesday, should still be under 36K by then just in case.

wondering if anyone had insight on the other DTC codes, I’ll bring them up as well.

Does not help here , but I had another instance where I needed to pull fuse 21/22 to reset the GWM .., seems like this is starting to happen more often

A corrutped GWM can cause other codes to show up since all module communications go through the GWM. The first thing (IMO) that needs to be address is the corrupted GWM code. Until that is resolved, the other codes cannot be taken too seriously. The PSCM code is an active fault, but the VDM code is an old stored code and can be ignored.
