Solution for license plate bracket holes?

I'm so bummed, I am borderline sad. Dealer put on the front plate holder on my GT. I thought about it on sunday but they were closed, so figured maybe they would not put it on. i was wrong. on me, not on my Sales guy, I should have said something.

So what are folks using for the holes, is there a plug we can buy and paint or..

I'm more bummed then i thought, .. darn it.

Is it the dealer that applies it? I thought about it when I ordered and regretted including the brackets. My car shows built but hasn’t shipped. If it is indeed the dealership, I will contact them not to put it.

Yes 2022 is a dealer install "option". 2021 it was done at the factory (which was lame). So def make sure your salesmen puts a note, not to install it. It can be included in the car, just don't drill the holes

I have 21 gt and front plate bracket was in my trunk with no holes in bumper.

I wonder if that was a mid year change, because the 2021 Prem (No GT released yet) was 100% factory installed.

It was a mid year change this year, I believe. It's now a dealer option, but laws vary by state as to whether or not they have to put it on. I told my dealer in Texas I was going to bring my own bracket that didn't require drilling holes and would spend the time installing it at the dealership if necessary to keep them from drilling into the bumper. My sales guy had no problem with it, but we'll see what happens at delivery.

Yes, Ford issued a change in March of 2021, I believe. A decent portion of 2021 Job 1 cars got their brackets delivered to the dealers in their trunks. All 2021 Job 2 and later cars had the brackets delivered in their trunks.

Yes, the dealer installs the front bracket. My dealer did not install it on my 2021 GT-PE, per my request. Since this is California, they had me sign a waiver absolving them of responsibility should I be inconvenienced by the gendarmerie.

I specifically instructed the dealer NOT to install the front plate. when my MME GT np arrived last summer.

I do have a mount under the spoiler that is a quick release, but I keep the plate in the rear hatch....
Front plate is required in my state, but I have not used one since July 2022.
Knock on wood, no police stops to date. If do mount the plate... my cruise does not work. So another motivation to leave it in the hatch.

I decided to take the risk when after observing traffic, I was amazed how many cars EV or not lack a front plate.
