I don’t know if it is discussed in this thread, or if you are otherwise aware, but it is worth noting if the moveable cargo floor is kept in the higher position and you have a heavy load, you run the risk of the two forward support points breaking. Options include putting the moveable cargo floor in the lower position or building a support frame to place under the moveable cargo floor. There are posts about support frames and a fair number of posts about the flimsy supports breaking. Note that these are the moveable floor’s forward supports, one on each side and as I understand it molded into trim panels, not the cargo rings. I installed the Euro cargo rings and they are rock solid. Thanks for this how-to tutorial, very detailed and helpful.
I'm having my Dad try track down a pair of these brackets in the UK/Europe, we'll see how that turns out. Otherwise I guess I'll be looking for some aftermarket ones. Anyone know who has any available?
Puzzling how this feature could be overlooked by Ford US, my shit is flying all over the place in the trunk without having a way to tie it down. And the aftermarket accessories leave a lot to be desired.
To my knowledge all of the aftermarket ones the John and I worked on were spoken for (I bought a few extra sets to try to get the perfect unit price down to the next level and people who missed the deadline snapped those up). I even removed my forward rings from my 2021 and put them into my 2024 (I also had to buy some 2021 rear rings since the 2024 rings are plastic). ??Thanks for this how-to tutorial, very detailed and helpful.
