I have got a question. Did you consider other approach that would allow 100% factory look for this mode? Namely instead of making separate piece of door/window trim for place where door handle was, would it be possible to remove entire trim and install longer one instead. In this way there wouldn't be any visible connecting point. Removing this trim is not a big deal anyhow.
There could be at least 2 options to get this effect:
1) The profile that trim is made of is quite likely not unique from Mustang Mach E - so solution would be to find another Ford model that uses same profile for door/window trim and has longer doors (maybe 2 door mustang or one of fords pickups?). To take that trim and shorten it to just the right length. One end of the trim ends hidden under the door mirror, so any cut would not be visible outside. Than apply this trim made of the same profile but longer instead of original trim and door handle and one would get 100% factory OEM look. There are more smaller issues like would trim from another car model would have right angel on the end to fit mach e, and cutting rubber seal between trim and window in places where pillars are, hole for the screw in the end piece - but that all can be overcome. This approach would require bit of luck with finding trim in another model.
2) Second option I see is ordering in factory not just new end piece of the trim like in kit above but entire longer trim. Maybe it would be possible to get it from actual producer of this profile for Ford? Than fit would be just perfect.
