Has anyone, that's received their Mach E and ordered with the light space grey interior, had any issues with blue from jeans marking the seats at all? Just curious if this is a possible issue or not. I ordered the space grey interior and that's my only concern but haven't taken ownership quite yet (this week I will).

Here's how your seat was tested. There is also a blue jean material that the robot uses.

you won't have a problem with jeans at all. Like ron here posted. I wore jeans in one of the tests and made sure to slide in and out many times and no marks. You will be fine.

I had a similar problem with the blue jeans color rubbing off on my Chrysler Town and Country leather seats. It easily came off with one of those Magic Erasers. I doubt these Mach E seats will have that issue because they are not real leather. Even my light gray leatherette material in my Camry SE does not get the blue from my jeans, which I wear a lot. No worries on these seats.

I have read on Tesla forums blue jeans mark up white seats. What they are doing and what you might consider doing is ceramic coating the seats. They claim it works.

Is anyone going to put ceramic coating on the light gray interior active x leatherette? I have seen videos for tesla members doing this to protect the white interior.

With these fake leather materials blue jeans typically not an issue - I have similar color with fake leather inserts on my CRV - rarely seen any blue jean residue. But what i did notice is that after 6 years of use, the seats are slightly dull and dont show the same pristine ness if you will they had on day one. But I never really wiped them clean or given them any TLC. Regular cleaning with appropriate wipes may do them good to not dull.

Here's a video on ceramic coating to protect leather seats but leatherette I don't know? I've heard once Tom Moloughney saying it's not a problem just wipe them once in a while.

My Veloster had light grey/white leather and I never had an issue with staining from my blue jeans. I did wipe them down with a Chemical Guys leather cleaner every now and again, but never saw any staining.

Pretty sure the ActiveX material in the Mach-E has been used on other Ford's, so there should be info out there if staining were an issue.

That's exactly what I'm doing to protect my Light Space Grey Active X upholstery. The stuff is supposed to stop stains; even new blue jean dye. Lasts for 2 years.
