Strange OTA Update Question...

Hey All...

I have a 2021, JOB 1 Premium 4X that has not received a software update since March of 2022. I think I calculated once that I'm running like 3.2.4, since the car wont actually tell me. Anyway, today I got in and it showed the download check icon! I clicked on the details button and it said, "This update contains 'Continuous Software Improvements.'" What the hell? Nothing has changed in the interface, mind you I'm in the pre-Alexa version, so I'd imagine I'd see something. Hoping there is more to come.

Anyone else been through this?

FWIW - Yes, I have been to the dealership a number of times and neither they nor Ford engineering have a clue as to why it's not been updating. APIM replaced and all...

What you may have received is an OTA that prepped your vehicle for more OTA’s. Hopefully that is the case and, if so, you should receive several in the next couple of weeks. If not then, sorry, I do not know what to tell you.

My 2 cents : non US (the rest of the world ) is still on the 3.x update cycle. Maybe your car in the backend has a non US profile active?

My 2021 had not had an OTA update since the fall of 2022. In early May I received an update that said something like "this update will open the door for future updates". Since that update, I have received six more updates, the most recent being last week. Hopefully you'll see more in near future.

I remember something like that mentioned just before the BlueCruise update happened. That was the last one I got. Unfortunately, the BC has ben disabled since it still had a 1 year clock ticking. The extension update hasn't made it through. A little frustrating.

These things do not seem right to me. I have a 2021 Job 1 Premium and get updates constantly. Just went through a series of three.

That is an understatement. I think I counted that I'm like 30+ updates behind.
