I'm wondering if anyone has experienced the same issues with the Mach-E sync system.

Saturday evening, we drove 80 miles using the voice navigation making a few phone calls (verbally listing the person to call) and all worked just fine.

On the return trip home, we pressed the sync button to program the navigation. Nothing. sync never responded. I could program the nav system via the touch screen and it worked but with no voice guidance.

Also noticed that while the radio worked, the volume could not be changed either with the knob or switch on steering wheel. The volume display slider on the big screen showed the volume changing but the actual volume did not.

After returning home, I attempted to do the Sync restart using the vol/power-seek forward combo. Nothing. No response at all. Attempted this several times.

Ultimately I did a master reset and everything worked as it should although I had to re-activate the car, create new Paak, codes, etc. Like a new car off the lot.

My car is a Job 1 built in Jan 2021. Sync version 244 with no Blue Cruse (like many others) yet.

Hi Bill! This doesn't sound like an experience we want you to have with your Mach-E. Could you please send us a PM with your VIN and the name and location of your Ford dealer? I'd be happy to see how I can assist you on my end.

Has the car had the 21P22 updates yet? That might help with the issues. In any event, it likely needs to see the dealer.

Not really sure what's been outside. My last OTA was 2.3.0 on March 2nd. Have a dealer appointment in early June for the 21G01 program.

I have lost voice guidance from Sync a few times now. Fortunately, the down volume / right track steering wheel buttons got it back every time.

Use the master reset as an absolute last resort. After a MR, it took me weeks to get back Paak, only able to fix that one after I got FDRS and did an initilization of the module.

I've had my car for just over 1 year and everything has been stable until 5 days ago.

In the latest episode of "As the World of Sync turns" ...

This past Tuesday, another reset of Sync. The navigation map froze, the volume control did nothing and once again, no voice abilities when you prese the Sync steering wheel button. Reset restored all functions.

Today (Thursday) Sync unresponsive when steering wheel button pressed. Additionally, and when I selected Bluetooth audio from my iPhone, both the BT audio AND the USB stick audio in the car played at the same time. Again, a reset of Sync resolved the issues.

I don't think I live in a haunted house but ... these issues are getting real annoying!

When the steering wheel reset button hasn't worked in the past, a car shut down and walk away far enough and long enough for the car to power down seems to get you back to square one. So far I've not had to resort to a master reset.
