I noticed new and strange behavior on my screen this morning. Each time I got close to a lane line, my screen would change from showing the car in the middle and the speed on the right to showing the speed in the middle with an elaborate visual effect. Is this normal now, after a software update? It’s pretty distracting. Fwiw, the video I’ve attached show it happening once, but it happened repeatedly, without me doing anything except driving and maybe getting closer to the lane lines than the MME approved of.

Maybe your thumb was on the lane-keeping assist button on the steering wheel. It looks like you were going in and out of the lane-keeping function. The speed in the middle is the normal display with it off. The car and the green lines are normally displayed with it on.

I've had this happen before, and turned out the car was applying an OTA in the background that didn't need the car off to apply. Once it was fully completed it didn't do that again. It happened over a few drives in one day.

@benk016 is exactly right. I started to send in this same question last week then when I parked the car I realized an OTA had just come through. All is well.
