Updated for my order. Initial production date was July 22nd, just got an update showing my build date October 7, so guess I finally got the missing chips installed. Now shows an estimated delivery date of 11/16/2021. Hopefully this is the last change (has previously gone from late August, to late October, to NA, to late October, then late December)

MD is a ZEV state, so that probably helps you out.

LOL CA I *think* is a ZEV state. Hasn't helped me. I've had an empty bullet under "In Production" since my order was accepted.

Maybe Ford doesn't like dogs. ?

Hard to know if it has helped you. ZEV states (like CA) do get more MME allocation, if what Ford told my local dealer is correct. For perspective, it took 4 months before Ford accepted my order. Coming up on 5 and my order is still not scheduled. VA is not a ZEV state. But also, my dealer is small and in small town. That could play a role as well. Nobody in this forum really knows how the process works. I do think dealer size and state ZEV policies have an impact.

They don’t give build dates until it’s actually built.

I ordered my Premium 4ER MME on 5/13/21 in Iconic Silver. Last month, I was told that the Iconic Silvers are balanced out for 2021 and I could either wait for a 2022 or change my color. I decided to change colors and go with the Star White Tri-Coat, hoping that I would still get one late this year. Well, I just got the email from Ford saying that my vehicle will now be a 2022. Now, I don't think I can go back to the Iconic Silver as it is not offered in the 2022.

Ford did send a email offering a small discount on the 2022, but with the upcharge on the alternative color, I'm still paying more for waiting on the 2022. Definitely a bummer.

The wait continues....

someone who ordered in August says they should be getting car near end of this year. How can that be when yours will be a 22 now.
My car was ordered 9/10 and I haven’t heard about it being converted to a 22 yet.
It must be chaos at Ford.

I took these data and did a quick plot of order date vs delivery wait time. I had to make some slight changes where there seemed to be some typos in the dates. For the delivered vehicles, the delivery wait time seems to be decreasing. I did not fill in the blanks, so those who are still waiting for their deliveries (or who did not fill in their delivery date) are not represented here.

And, finally, wait time based on region. These are more dependent on outliers because in some states there are fewer orders than is strictly useful for statistical analysis. This also doesn't include a wait time for every count because not all respondents have answered the delivery date question yet while most have answered the location question.
