Has anyone been able to confirm what the OEM summer tires maker(s) is(are) for the $250 summer tires option? I’ve emailed Ford and no response and I Tweeted @mrlevine to no avail as yet.

We selected the summer tires option for my wife’s 4X when we ordered on 5/21/21 and we received our build week of 8/22/21 just yesterday. Just trying to figure out what tires they’ll be.

I know the GTPE utilizes the new Pirelli PZ4 Elect summers in the 245/45-20 size but the only summers I could locate on Tire Rack in the 4X size of 225/55-19 are some Porsche NF0 spec Hankook Ventus S1 EVO3 EV. I’m suspecting that the EV designation is a giveaway and that Ford engineers chose to use the Porsche spec tire or maybe had Hankook tweak that model slightly for a Ford OEM designation.

Edit: I also linked the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 Porsche spec summers but we couldn’t get that lucky I bet.

Still crickets from Ford. I guess we’ll have to wait until the first one gets delivered and someone posts up. Looks like I may have ours around the end of Sept.

Maybe someone from across the pond will see this and respond. I looked up some European VINs and those cars shipped with summer tires. Very jealous actually. When the all seasons wear out I will definately replace them with a summer tire.

I'm tempted to get new wheels and go the 245/45/R20 route when I wear out the 19s. Probably be quite a while based on my current annual mileage.

Well you are in luck because I will probably have summer tires on my car before the year is out. I can provide some feedback on the differences. :)

Planning to stick with stock size tires/wheels or going to 20s?

Staying with the 19" wheels I am sure. Never was the type to get aftermarket wheels. The stock wheels are round enough for me and I like the styling as much as anything else I have seen. :)

Our Jeep has 20" wheels. Those things are massive! The stock tire size is exactly the same diameter as my son's Rubicon. 32.7" I believe....

Did swap my 18¨ for the premium 19¨ wheels, was done by the Ford dealer (Europe).
Tires are Continental Premium Contact 6 225/55/19 V XL summer tires, i am happy with them.

Good info. Mildly disappointed that they are a Grand Touring Summer tire rather than a true UHP or Max Perf summer tire, but, understandable given the type of vehicle the Mach E is. If those Continentals are the summer tires option for the North American market as well, then I will probably switch them out for some Michelin Pilot Sport 4 A/S. They are known to provide near Max Perf summer tire levels of grip combined with the all season ability to deal with milder winter weather.
