So, thought I would post my preference in order by experience. I know others might have a different opinion. I also have a Nacs adapter so it may bias my opinion.
  1. Tesla, quick and easy with max speed
  2. Circle K, they are rapidly expanding their network and it does rival Tesla in ease and speed, just not as prevalent
  3. Shell, better than EA but can still be a little glitchy
  4. EA, last of my choices as most times I have to find a station that charges at rated speed

I would have to add a bit more nuance...

1. Tesla V4 - always reliable, only need one parking spot, plug-n-charge
2. EA (new machines) - almost always reliable, only need one parking spot, plug-n-charge
3. Tesla V3 - always reliable, but need two parking spots, plug-n-charge
4. EVgo - mostly reliable, has "Autocharge" (plug-n-charge)
5 (tie). EVCS - most reliable, but slow
5 (tie). EA (old machines) - very hit-and-miss, but plug-n-charge when it works

Honestly I'm not sure what else we have in the area / PNW region.

This is really going to depend on where you are across the country. We don’t have many Circle Ks around here. Many of the Shells around here are older units you would NOT put near the top of your list if you had any other option.

I agree, just what I experienced so far. Circle K is being pretty aggressive with rolling them out across the country. They have 40 stations planned for this year and judging by their map it looks like they are either there or close. The first station they opened near their headquarters in Charlotte they tested a few different charger designs before selecting the one before they opened more stations. Their app is pretty easy as well

Yeah, during the recent a hurricane evacuation I saw a new Circle K charger in Tifton, Ga off of I-75, IIRC. I was actually already charging at an EVGo unit at the Flying J when I noticed the Circle K had chargers across the street. Choice! Just like gas stations. Now, maybe they could start advertising kw prices on those big highway signs just below the diesel price.

I went to a Circle K in Wenatchee Washington. Said 150 but only got 80 but it was brand new and was running promo so I couldn’t complain.

I'm not a fan of Tesla so we’ll just leave it at that

Shell in my area (north Seattle) are rebranded VOLTA so they’re free. EVGo charges a initial fee nope

EA yes hit and miss but cheapest I’ve found in my region and $7 membership pays itself.

It's very location-dependent as has been said.

My experience with Shell Recharge has been that the chargers are usually broken. Customer support is responsive, but when the charger is broken (for a long time), they can do nothing.

Many of these networks are available via the Ford Charging Network, so you don't have to pay any fees (unless the charger itself has a flat fee in addition to charging).

So if I use Ford plug n charge I would be charged the fee at EVGo?

You're confusing some things.

Ford BlueOval Network is the network of companies that you can charge at, and the fee goes to Ford, who bills your credit card. EVGo is part of that network.

Ford Plug and Charge is a feature that works 2 places - Tesla and Electrify America. That's it. It goes through the same billing, but you don't have to open FordPass and activate a charger (or use Public Charging / Charge Assist).

If you're saying that EVGo charges you a fee to setup an account, then no, you would not pay that fee going via Ford. If you're saying that a particular charger on the EVGo network is $1 per session, plus charging fees, then YES, you would pay that $1.

For networks with discount plans, like Tesla and EA, you must join the plan via their app AND charge via their app. To do so, activate the charger via the app, then plug in. Do not plug in first, this will activate Plug and Charge and you won't get any discount.
