don't know if it's the cause, but the adapters only work with Gen 3 and 4(?) superchargers. Is plug and charge enabled on your fordpass app? Have you tried the adapter using the tesla charging app?
Thank you I will check and try again, bad results yesterday…flatbed to 2 charging stations near Va Beach!!! 1st one down

4. I have 6(Six)FC-mapping/FC locator apps. I found ABRP(A Better Route Planner) far more useful than all the others for planning charging stops. This app has the ability to take in to account weather, road conditions, and charging frequency preferences(I.e. more stops/less stops).
ABRP is *spooky accurate* with its predictions of arrival percent. I believe somewhat uniquely it takes altitude change into account, which is a big deal in my area where a 2000 ft difference between endpoints is common. I believe they also have models for each car, and if you use the OBD2 live data, ABRP will figure out a custom "fudge factor" for your car. You can even set up different profiles - like having a bike on your roof - and have it measure each one. As pointed out, I think it takes weather into account (not as big a deal where I am). Weather is hard because you'd have to try to model the temp of the battery, which is quite different from the outside temp. IDK if ABRP also uses OBD2 to figure out battery temp and use that in predictions, I wouldn't put it past them.

I haven't used ABRP in anger though. For more complex directions I use Google Maps. Better features like "restaurant along route". Which really means I toggle back and forth. Love the fact that ABRP shows up RIGHT ON THE DASHBOARD because android auto. I would never, ever go back to a non android auto (or apple car play same idea).

For a real plan, I wish I could set an overnight "get off the road" time and have ABRP find a L2 charger near a hotel. Eg, arrive at a hotel with X% charge between 8p and 9p, depart at 100% at 8am. It has some of the bones of this feature, but I haven't been able to get it as part of a multi-day plan to work reasonably, which would seem to mean that you're just going to ask ABRP every morning to come up with a new route, which maybe is more correct anyway - charger station status changes.

Pretty slick. They're owned by Rivian. VW just paid $1B to get access to Rivian's tech stack for charging. Most of that's the in car software but ABRP is so far ahead of everything else..... might have factored in.

Hokey-smokes! I haven’t even used my L2 EVSE in my garage 46 times this year. ??
I keep thinking I'll make a post summarizing my 4800+ mile driving vacation in my MME from Austin to Niagara Falls Canada, D.C., and NYC and back. Maybe next weekend. I'll just say now that it would have been miserable without Tesla Superchargers. Thanks Ford and Tesla!

Can I use a Tesla supercharger and if so what do I need to hook it up to my 2023 Mach E? I'm planning a trip from my home in Maryland to the Adirondacks (Schroon Lake) and its 476 miles. I have the standard battery (approx 230 miles), so I'll need to stop around half way. But I don't want to include an overnight stay. So was wondering if I could use one of the Tesla supercharging stations, which would minimize my charging time to a few hours. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
FYI: There are CCS chargers at the Sunoco station right off the Schroon Lake exit on the Norhtway. I have used them to charge my Mach-E.

Went to 2 different locations used the adapter and nothing!!!
Since my Tesla Certificate never seemed to have been recognized in Ford Plug and Charge, I set up a separate Tesla account. I haven't had any trouble charging with my Tesla account. Have you tried this?

I took my two adapters (one my A2Z) over to Seattle to have my kid walk me through using them. He has two Teslas and their level 2 charger. The AC adapter was easy. There are no SCs in the city available at this time, but we went ahead to the banks of 150 amp SCs in Ballard. There we parked at an angle (lots of ports available), and he got the adapter fully coupled, and just barely reachable to my MME. It all fit. So while it wouldn't charge, he is confident I could hook up to an appropriate SC. There are some available SCs at the cassino near Poulsbo.
Yes, those are compatible.

Wasn't sure where to post these photos of my Mach-E and V4 Superchargers. I figured this would be the best thread since there has been posts here about cable length and how the car fits in the stall.

In our small town of Sonora, CA (population barely 5000) we just got 8, V4 Superchargers. Each one has the new longer 3m (9.8') cord. I only charge at home on excess solar but thought I would try them out to see how well the longer cord works.

There are 6 chargers oriented sideways, close together and 2 that are oriented flat with a lot more space between them. I was able to park my Mach-E within the designated stall for each oriented charger (flat or sideways) without taking up two stalls.

For the flat oriented charger, I pulled up and left about 18" of space between the car and charger:

For the sideways oriented charger, parking frontwards with the charger about 10" away from the right front fender, the cord reached just fine and does not have a tight bend but it has to rest on the hood.

Backing in the stall for the sideways oriented charger, the cord also had no problem reaching the charge port and I could have parked another 2 feet further back.

So at least at this location with the new V4 Superchargers, you can charge your Mach-E in the stall that is meant for that charger and not take up two stalls.

As far as charging, it worked the same as the only one other time I used a Supercharger. I plugged it in using the Ford/Tesla adapter and it started charging within about 15 seconds. Didn't have to touch my phone or the car. After I was done, I got a transaction statement and receipt from Ford. As with the other time I used a Supercharger, it started out at around 155 kW for a few minutes, then settled down to around 115 kW until it reached 80% which is when I disconnected. There were three other Teslas charging at the same time.

What's the purpose for having those two chargers in the large parking spaces? For their CyberTruck?

In Norway, Tesla installed the 2000th stall this month, and because of charging plug standard in Europe, almost all have been available for Mach E (and other electric vehicles) several years already.

I have hoped that the Ford/Tesla/NACS/US deal could bring Plug and Charge support - but for now, nothing - there are at least 3 other national charge operators that support it - so it might be a matter of time ... :fingerscrossed:

I have no idea. Maybe someone else here frequents Tesla Superchargers often to know the answer to this. I like the fact you can just pull up and the cord will reach but I think the wide space is for larger vehicles. I mean as you can see, I had no problem pulling in front ways or backing in and the cord still reached on the side oriented chargers also.
