"Charger lice"? Seriously? So, in the frequent flyer community, for years there's been the term "gate lice". It's mostly used by extremely pretentious, self-centered, (pick-your-bodily-orfice), who seem to believe that airlines exist only for their personal conveyance, and the conveyance of their similarly entitled colleagues, who think they're entitled to their attitude it by achieving the highest, invite-only status in at least 3 major airline alliances (hint: there are only three major airline alliances ?) They view anyone else attempting to board the plane as nothing more than insects that they must brush aside as they dash off to their entitled perches in the nose of the aircraft. I can't wait for charger operators to get into the status game - it's going to be so much fun to watch people then!

Gate lice actually refers to people who crowd the boarding area before their turn. But I concur that we should condemn all forms of lice, whether charger or gate.

it appears anyone with an adapter can charge now? reading between the lines, you need a software update for plug and charge, but you can 'always' manually initiate a charge? So if you can borrow an adapter, or buy one from not ford ( risky but wasn't a company saying they would ship them?), or buy on ebay (i wouldn't!), you should be gtg?

late March seems early for them getting all these out to the masses, but some of them? enough for you to find one? Maybe?

If 200 bucks is worth the peace of mind on your road trip, it is an option! Not sure how many they will sell with ford doing free, but there will always be people who aren't eligible or lose theirs, or want to get them a little sooner.

Condo living is great in certain things and sucks in others. Charging an EV is one of the things that sucks. We’re installing a charger soon, after fighting tooth and nail for 2.5 years.

I just ordered a Lectron Vortex to try out at $186.

Got 7% discount which mostly paid for the sales tax.

I wasn't going to get quite that technical ? Delta Diamond Medallions and 360s are, as a lot, much more entitled. To them, "gate lice" are any passengers in the gate area or jetway, who aren't actively performing a service for them and/or are impeding their progress to their perches at the pointy end of the aircraft.
(Fun fact: I was a Diamond and Executive Partner for years in one of my previous lives ?)

I'm surprised it showed up for me this early. Not that it helps me much;
1. I rarely use public charging,
2. when I do charge I know all the convenient EA chargers in my route,
3. I'm not super excited about rubbing elbows with the Teslars,
4. and I won't get the adapter(adaptor) until August(Augost)...
