For those of us that are tech savvy we should have a way to load this update using a USB stick. That would be nice not having to wait for OTA. Last update I got was April 19,2026. I'm just glad to still be getting updates on a 2022. Thx Ford for the support!

You press the CarPlay icon on the top left where the car menus are to get back to where your last place in CarPlay was. The one above the HVAC controls is a shortcut to get to the phone quicker.

Well, I’m now officially looking forward to the phone switching button….

Just left for a quick road trip. My wife beat me to the driver’s seat, which by our rules means her music and her navigation. She hid a bag of mine so I was looking for it while she snuck into car - devious reminder of why I married her.

Anyway, the car was still connected to my phone, which was a source of frustration. I let it play out long enough but not too long to let teasing turn into driving angry .

She said (kid you not), there’s got to be an easier way to do it. And she referenced this guy:

you can do this with a power supply, FDRS on a PC, a mongoose dongle, and a memory stick. I've done it many times. It is usually a multi-hour affair. Especially when the APIM is on one of the updates.

The updates do keep coming in, which I appreciate. But they are infrequent and don't cover all the modules that get software updates.

The issue is both that they are slow... and that they are uneven. For example ECG update? not here. not in queue. Why? Do you have to be in EA for your car to get software updates. It seems so. I've applied over the years... crickets.

FDRS has short term subscriptions (short term service manual subs too...)
Big expense is the Mongoose, but if you have a friend with one...

ECG came in today for my 21. see... complaining in a forum fixes everything

I have recieved one OTA in each of the last three months, and nothing in my car has improved. I still get charging error messages every plug in outside of schedule, and I have no Tesla chargers in the navigation.

Now that I have complained on the forum, both fixes should come tomorrow.

I haven't received the big update either, I'm on version 24269 in my 21.
Hopefully I'll get it someday
