It was a very strange choice for Ford to put a Max Defrost physical button there, that you will never ever need when the car is off when there is also a button on the screen to do that. And, the Max Defrost button on the screen doesn't require opening another screen first.
Requirement by safety regulators that there has to be a physical button for max defrost.

I will say though as a owner of 21 job 1 car, these last 3 OTA's have been nice. My car recognizes my phone immediately as I approach the car and only have to press my door button once to unlock now. Also, carplay comes up quickly now as well. I'm glad they haven't abandoned the early adopters

I noticed this morning on the ford pass app.. not sure if it’s the sync update or an app update, but I charged to 80% and noticed the text “best for daily driving and frequent charging” under the progress bar. Is ford officially recommending a charge to 80% now?

It says the same for 90% and below.

Got the Sync update today (22 Premium AWD ER). Since I had learnt about this update here, I was not too startled when Sync started acting differently!

Received the update a couple days ago on my 2022. Even though I had to reset and repair my PAAK to get it working again, this was a small price to pay for the feature that I've been waiting to come back since they removed it years ago: The ability to link (or "favorite") a Carplay phone with a user profile in the car. They removed this years ago, and since then the car would ALWAYS pick my wife's phone for Carplay no matter whose profile was active in the car. Pretty psyched to have this feature back, and hopefully solving the Carplay issues (time will tell).

It's funny that they solved this problem AND added the new shortcut to the Phones List, which would have been great while the favorites feature was gone, but I'm not complaining.

I bought my MMe 25 Premium May 26, Update IPC 25.9.405 and nothing since. I have automatic updates ON. Is it just a matter of waiting?

I received the update. I'm surprised at how much I like the phone switching button at the top that literally no-one was asking for, apparently.

I'm thrilled that I'm still getting useful updates for a four-year-old car, but I have to keep tempering that thrill against the fact that Connected Navigation's ability to route to Tesla Superchargers (and other NACS chargers) should have been delivered at least 12 months ago.

I remember my first few cars did have a trunk release somewhere near the drivers seat. One had it in the glove box, which seemed silly.

From the standpoint of my 1969 Cadillac, the trunk release in the glove box isn't silly. The convertible model used the same body and interior, so a locked glove box was an intelligent way to secure the power trunk release when the top was down. 🤷‍♂️🐩

Absolutely normal. Updates are sometimes many months apart. Not all vehicles get every update, not all vehicles need every update, and they do not roll out at the same pace for everyone. That is all normal. You've had your car for 2 months. I'd just drive it.

Very very happy with the addition of Apple Maps preconditioning. I really thought that wasn’t going to come to us.

not sure how I feel about the phone icon though, it kind of looks weird with the rest of the other icons, but it does seem CarPlay connects much faster and I’ve had little to no issues now with it not connecting.

Didn’t consider convertibles. Makes sense.
