Sorry if this is answered in the forum, but search results are so dominated with HVBJB update posts that I could not find it.

I have owned my MachE for 6 weeks and it has been an all around pleasant experience. I setup a WiFi connection and System Update schedule in the car early on. I check the system update settings periodically, but see nothing there to indicate pending or past updates.

My question is what do you look at to see a history or log of updates that have been applied? Fordpass? The car's system update settings screen? http://ford.com dashboard?

thanks for the wealth of info posted to this forum.

There's no great way to do this. For now, you can request others' generosity:

No one can see past updates to your car. They can see what modules have pending updates, or if an OTA update is queued up.

That's true, Rick. I keep my own log of past updates by scanning mechanic service records and taking screenshots or photos of FordPass and in vehicle notifications.

But I suspect the OP is interested in knowing what vehicle module software loads are installed, and which have available updates. The link I posted can help with that.

I should have caveated that just because newer software is shown via FDRS, does not mean the vehicle will ever need to have, or will receive, that update. The updates in FDRS are generally available for use while addressing specific vehicle concerns. Only a subset of them are broadly pushed via OTA, CSP, Recall, or similar.

Thanks for the info - not what I wanted to hear, but what I needed to know. It isn't a big deal for me. I'm just getting to know how all the tech works.

Remember you have to drive the car to get it to check for updates. It won't update if you leave it parked, regardless of the settings. The schedule is when they will be installed. So make sure you are driving the car on a regular basis if you want updates.

No one can see past updates to your car. They can see what modules have pending updates, or if an OTA update is queued up.
It is possible to see recent updates if you ask the right people, sometimes it takes some digging.

I did a chat this morning with someone at Ford. She said there were no OTA updates shown pending or installed, but she cautioned that it can take a long time for them to show up in her database.

Remember you have to drive the car to get it to check for updates.
Ah, another good to know thing.

thanks all
