I regularly charge at home to 90%, and have the charger settings for home to max 90%. Normally, this is working perfectly.

However, I am driving on a long trip and need to charge to 100% before starting out. I press the "charge to 100%" on the Ford Pass app. The app says it is charging, but it is not charging. I tried this several times, but the car refuses to charge past 90%.

Eventually, I had to go into the car and change it's "home" charger settings to max 100%. And now the car is finally charging.

While I had to do this as the only option for now, it is not a really good option. When I return from this road trip, I will have to remember to reset the charger settings.

HOW do you get a "temporary" 100% charge without needing to modify the charger settings?

I just did this exact thing this morning before leaving for work, mostly to see if it would work. In my case, it did work, but I would suggest that you "wake up" the car before activating it. Try locking or unlocking the doors from the app. Once that's successful, then try the 100% override.

It definitely works if it i already charging (ie soC less than set level), but I guess not if the car isn't awake.

Great suggestion.
I tried force charging at the office today and 2 hours later I discovered it wasn't charging (even though the app said it was...) Woke up the car by getting near it with my fob and everything sprung to life and it started charging.

I will try your trick next time. ?
