Hey folks. I'm picking up my MME GT this week, and very excited. On one of my former car forums, we had a master tint thread that included a bunch of pictures of cars with tint to help others determine what percentage they would like to go with. I've done a bit of searching on here and didn't see anything like that. Apologies if I'm missing something. So...

Since 2021, I have personally used Ceramic Pro's KAVACA Ultimate IR window tint on my cars. It is their best ceramic tint with the highest IR/UV rejection and glare reduction. The OEM rear windows on the Mach-E are about 25% VLT. I like my front windows to be slightly lighter than the rears. On the photo below, top and bottom cars I used 30% on the front windows and 45% on the middle car. On all the cars, for the Windshield and all rear windows I use 70%.

The shop that did mine had Llumar CTX Ceramic, I'm at 5%, none on the windshield. This is the first car I've done ceramic, I hear it's better, but I've never had any issue with any other tint job. I typically do 5% all around, and 50-70% on the windshield.

Not the greatest pics to show the tint, when I can I'll get something better. Waiting to get the car back from the dealer though.

I asked for the closest thing to the same shade as the rears and to stay at the legal limit.

It's a pretty easy decision: the law says you can't go below a certain %.

I wanted to match the rear windows, so I went with 25% ceramic tint on the front windows. I’m not sure what brand was used.

Likes: I really like the overall look from the outside—it definitely completes the appearance of the car. The tint also helps a lot with sun glare and headlights reflecting in the side mirrors.

Dislikes: From inside the cockpit, the clarity isn’t as good as I’d hoped, and the tint color doesn’t match the rear windows, which kind of bugs me. It also took a little getting used to when driving at night.

In NY, I can only do 70% for the front doors, and none for the windshield. With my limited options, I went with 70% on all my doors with Xpel nano ceramic for the best possible heat, IR, and UV rejection I could get while still being legal.

There's a bit of discoloration when wearing polarized sunglasses, but doesn't bother me too much.

I got 3M Nano Ceramic Film 25% Front Side Windows to match the rear tint.

I have Sun Tek Ceramic 45% film, in grey tint to match the rear. With the OEM shade it adds up, or subtracts down, to 36% VLT on the fronts. Not a great photo, sorry. This was after it was done in March.
