So its almost time to get the GTPE new shoes. In the past, I always went with Summer performance tires, but now I'm not so sure.

Now that it is wetter and colder and my tires are worn, I'm finding that it's much easier to kick out the back end when making a turn. Great fun. It was really hard to do that when the tires were newer. So I'm thinking of getting less aggressive all season tires.

What do you guys think?

I was considering Continental Extreme Contact DWS 06 Plus.
I would be curious to know that others thought about this?

I had those tires on my Cayenne Turbo. Great tires. Sticks really well. Been super happy with them and lasted a decent amount of miles.

For the GTPE, I'm thinking of something less sticky.

I have Michelin Pilot Sport AS4’s which are very comparible to the continentals mentioned above. I’ve been really happy with them, I’ve had them for about 5k miles so far. (Premium 4X though)

I also really liked these tires on past cars. I am probably thinking about new tires as I’m almost down to the first wear bar, but I live in dry SoCal, so I might wait just a tad longer. This is my first EV so I don’t know if I’m supposed to care more about rolling resistance? I don’t road trip it much, so I’m probably willing to trade a bit of kWHr/mi for stickiness, but I’m more worried about the tires turning to dust under the massive weight and instant torque…

Anyone looked into the Pirelli P Zero PZ4 Elec Tires? Supposedly made specifically for EVs. Just curious as I was looking at those.

I get my tires from Americas tires. They honor the mileage warranty. So feel free to abuse the tires. They will give you credit if the tires wear out prematurely.

Those are the standard tire on the GTPE. They’ve been okay for me, but I’m curious what other options are out there…

I love Americas tires. I had no idea they’d honor the mileage warrantee. Thanks for the tip!

Doesn't last very long on the GTPE. Only 14K miles. They're ok, nothing to write home about.

have these on my gtpe for a few weeks now. Slightly more expensive than the continentals. Good handling with slight decrease in range. Time will tell how they wear but so far so good.

I have the continental DWS 06+ extreme contact on my premium 4X. I have about 6000 miles on them. They are great.
