A full sized tire is too big to fit in the frunk. ?‍♂?
When I went to modernspare.com , it appeared as if they were selling a donut-type spare versus a full-sized tire. The problem being solved is getting you down the road from a tire-damage situation that our fix-a-flat and pump can't resolve. It's got me wondering if there'd be a way to reconfigure the funk, even by removing the ice bucket tray to accommodate the donut. But other threads talk about the heat under the hood (usually in the context of insulating the ice bucket) for food storage. Would that amount of heat be bad for long term storage of a tire if one could be made to fit?

Heat wouldn’t be the problem. It is not a “ice bucket.” The frunk tub is there to keep stuff from damaging the electrical, electronics, and cooling components in the front section of the vehicle. Throwing around the weight of a spare tire in there is asking to brick your car. ??

Welp, this happened. Fortunately I wasn’t going fast. Happened out of nowhere. Bang! And zero tire pressure. Left rear.

Something similar not quite as bad happened to me.

Been driving with a slight wheel wobble felt through steering wheel for a few weeks.

On return from last 580-mile day trip decided I must check it out.

Jacked each wheel off ground in turn and spun the wheels finding a bulge on inner shoulder of right front tyre.

Must’ve run over something.

Tyre’s been wearing faster on bulged part of shoulder, found it partly pierced with wire cords poking out.

Cost me a pair of Mich CC2s @ £348 fitted.

At least they’d worn beyond 3mm tread remaining so not too upset.

Put new ones on rear, switched 5mm tyres from rear onto fronts and all ready for winter?

No, I run fronts at 38psi, tracking’s been out for a while, toeing out wearing on inner edges of front tyres, probably due to the tyre impact??‍♂

May get the laser 4-wheel alignment gauges out when I get a minute and can be arsed?

This makes me second guess my patch job on the outer block of my DWS tires. :-x
