Tire PSI Error

Was looking at my vehicle dashboard on Ford's website and had a slight eyebrow raise at the tire pressure. I believe that pressure level would be what the navy designs submarines for. The suggested pressure of 255 also sounds like Ford wants me to detonate my garage with a cataclysmic tire explosion. Is this error been seen before?

Yes, it seems to default to those values when it doesn’t have the real data for some reason. I’ve seen it come and go.

Sure is a strange number to default to. I have to run an errand in an hour or so that will have me driving around 20 minutes so I will check what it says after that.

255 kpa would be 37 psi, but the 9502 would not be consistent.

It’s a bug, pressure defaults to the highest unsigned 16 bit integer.

2^16 = 65,536 kPa = 9,505 psi.
