May I ask, which do you use? We are in Salem area but up on a hill. We are about to be a 2 mach e household, both awd. We will look at both. Wondered what others are doing for snow and ice driving?

We should be getting our GTPE in a few days so I'm curious about this as well.

Hello from Stayton ?
Your GTPE comes with summer tires. The manual will tell you not to drive them in temps 45 or lower, and not to store them in temps below 20. Hopefully you have plans to replace them ASAP. You can actually rip chunks of them out, it's like driving on plastic disks.

I'm working on negotiating the price with the dealership on replacing the tires before we take it home.

If that doesn't work out we will take it directly to Les Schwab for some new boots.

I'm still irked I need to spend $1300 immediately just to drive our vehicle ?

Francisco, and Vee are amazing as are all we have encountered and they don't rush things which I found good at delivery especially compared to other dealers I have heard about

So far I am doing fine on the all seasons that came with the car. Our roads are ice and snow from Nov until at least end of March. I will say I have not driven it after a fresh dump of snow. My worry is our road plowing and lack of plowing ends up piling up snow at some intersections and I believe the car may get stuck. I have seen that happen a few times with smaller SUV’s. All that being said I am thinking of going with dedicated winter tires next year but will decide after winter is over based on how the car handles.

Great feedback! It's not like you have any snow/ice experience in Alaska ?

Also curious as I regularly have to drive between Portland and Salem areas in all different weather and do lots of hills. Don’t want to get studded tires, and mainly interested between tire socks and winter/snow tires. Even willing to buy a set of snow tires on different rims and get a home jack for “quick” changes.

Separate set is a good move, looking into that also
