Someone posted the price on their '25 premium yesterday and it was $49,102.

Well… something I never imagined to happen, happened. An F4 category wiped out our home including the Mach-E.

Thankfully the entire family is safe thanks to our safe room.

Now trying to decide if I should get another Mach-E or move on to something a bit bigger.

I also have a Rivian R1S along with the Mach E. Its great, but initial build quality is rough.
Straight up. The Mach E is a much better BEV off the floor. But they are different purpose machines.
The Mach E is not a towing off-road machine like the R1S. We really enjoy the RIS holds 7 tons of room, it tows well.

Buying a used R1S is the way IMO to go if you want a bigger EV that is super capable. Make sure you are within 100 miles of a service center if you ever choose to buy a RIVIAN. Go Dual Motor Max Battery.

I'd say fight to total it and take the payout, even repaired I'd expect the car to have extra issues down the road, and the diminished value will hurt when you do eventually get rid of it. You can replace it with 45k.

Only outside the USA. I'm pretty sure they aren't 'approved' to be used as tow vehicles here yet. But rules are made to be broken.

Well…this is actually the SECOND time my parents have rebuilt their house. Same location. Same path of tornado. They are definitely moving

Glad you and your family survived unharmed. The Gieco adjuster is on crack. No way your MME is not totaled.

Got the call that it’s been totalled. The ONLY good thing to come out of this besides the obvious that we all are unharmed is that I’m no longer upside down.

Update: GEICO adjuster didn’t total the car. Says repair is close to $48k. I figured they would’ve considering that’s almost over half of what it’s worth? I also don’t know what goes behind totaling a car.
