I can see your point. In my case, I like very clean and extremely uncluttered interfaces. The ol less is more thing. If the powers that be were to put the trunk button there I’d find it even more cluttered than I think it already us, but it wouldn’t particularly bother me. It’s their design decision, not mine.

That's why the best option is to have it customizable. Some people will add an entire row of buttons and some people will add none. Win-win.

It’ll be “interesting” to see how fully implemented the new CarPlay ui is and just how customizable that will be outside of the ipc. Customization is a good thing.
