TWIN VIN PROBLEM

Hello, I have bought a 2021 RWD ER in Europe and I have found an anomaly in the VIN of the car, it turns out that they have marked it twice WITH THE SAME VIN on the chassis and the authorities are causing me problems for this matter. Is it possible that this is a manufacturing failure?

It seems as if they have stamped twice on the wrong one above (see number 7) and have crossed out and marked well below. Does anyone think that if this happens on the assembly line it is written in some manufacturing order or COC or some other type of document? I have this precious without being able to use it. Thank you

I examine loads of cars and very occasionally, rarely in fact, I have come across this.

The over stamping appears factory.

So long as there are no signs that the surrounding area, the vin sticker & VIN in windscreen has been tampered with there should be no problem except it will always look suspicious and cause you problems when you come to sell in a buyer looks at it.

It looks like the upper stamp was not as good as they wanted it so they tried again and botched it the second time (crooked so there's an obvious double-strike on the right side of the VIN). It also looks like they succeeded the third time (the lower stamp) and over-stamped the first two tries with "XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX" to obscure it. It happens, but it's rare. I've seen a few engine blocks with botched VINs on them. ??

I would reference people to the VIN either stamped or labeled at another location on the vehicle.

Obvious solution to this is for Ford to include a service record note that there is a double strike on vin #xxxxxxxxxxx.

Should be sticker inside driver doorframe along with GVWR / tire pressure info

Also in UK under driver floormat as well apparently, but that looks like where you are looking. Do you not also have it in the windshield like we do in US?

Haha yeah.
Yes, have in windscreen and doorframe but not are valid for this, only if have stamp on the chassis.
