Ok, call me stupid, but I have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA what the heck anyone here is talking about? What is the OP complaining about? Is that the engine bay of some ICE car? What diaper is @RickMachE complaining about? Will someone please explain this in bunny rabbit English instead of in innuendos? Once again, I feel like one of the people standing outside the door of the EA VIP club wondering what all the people with PowerUp 2.5 are experiencing :D
According to my wife I only speak sarcasm and innuendo. I’ll see if she can translate. ?

But on a serious note, I’m Not complaining about anything. My pun was regarding general negativity about the MME. And how there’s so much positivity that people overlook. So I transposed the electrical connections trying to be funny.

As far as the diaper, it’s what some people call the fibrous aerodynamic mats that smooth the airflow under the car. Helps with range. Catches a lot of ?, thus “Diaper.”

So maybe there is a thread somewhere on this but is there a screen or anything that can be used to prevent this? I have a garage so it will melt but I would imagine snow would get packed-in if you live in the far north - like myself! It is below freezing for about 5 months. This is something I had been curious about.

Are your pictures from inside the Mustang Mach E someplace? They look like the inside of an ICE engine bay?
Also, I looked under my car once. All I saw was battery. Lots and lots of battery. I didn't see anything fibrous?

The photo with the snow is in the “engine bay” of the Mach-E. With the frunk tub removed.
The aero cover is forward of the battery tray. Covering the front suspension and steering parts.

You can put the car up in the air and seal the underbody aerodynamic panel (aka "diaper") to the body of the car with duct tape. Note that if you do this, you are effectively preventing moisture that gets in through the active cooling ducts from exiting the car via gravity. ??

Duct tape. What is this? 1985? Where’s MacGyver? These days we use Zipp tape. Get with it you filthy (though hypoallergenic) animal.

My thought was more a screen for the ducts but I guess it would not accomplish much if there is flow thru the diaper. Snow machines do have screens to help keep snow out but allow cooling air in.

LOL I actually wrote Bear Bond to start with and erased it. ???

FWIW, Poodles are (contrary to popular belief) not hypoallergenic. It's true that our hair and dander structure are more like a human's, which makes it harder to be allergic to us, but it's still possible. I guess it's also possible for one human to be allergic to another. ??‍♂?

That is a great illustration of one of my pet peeves with Ford's PHEV and BEVs. That damn diaper holds everything. With our Fusion Energi, it would literally melt for days on end. Or, in a big rainstorm, it would drip a huge puddle of water forever. Mach-E will do the same, we haven't had much snow for it to collect, but it will do the same.
My Focus RS had the same situation...I cut an extra drain hole with a 1" circular bit.

Poodles can type on a keyboard? Or does voice recognition (woof recognition?) work better than I thought?

Sly innuendo is the plaything for the intelligentsia...

I have a Fusion Hybrid and I have never seen a diaper on it.

Or do you meet the air "damper"?

Oh, now I understand! I replaced my mat with a rubber based version that has removable panels for the oil drain and filter access. The dealer was damaging the original mat due to its removal for each oil change. Driving through rain puddles may have weaken it.

I found the rubber based version at eBay. It is sold under the Mondeo vehicle name, but it is the same Fusion.

If the Mustang Mach-E has the same type of mat, it is possible that this vendor will offer a similar mat replacement this year.
