I just got my 2022 Mach-e premium extended battery awd end of May. It was a demo from local dealership. My Mach-e has only updated twice since I've gotten it. Whatever it was when I got it to 3.5.3 and now 3.5.3.3 last week. Why isn't my vehicle updating to latest software version?

So far I am loving the vehicle!

A couple of things to check first. Make sure your update schedule is set to a time when you habitually have run your car for at least 15-20 minutes (like into a commute). The reason is that the 12V battery must be at least 80% charged in order for the car to update, and the only way to ensure this without using a battery charger is to run the car so that the inverter charges the 12V. Next is Cellular coverage. Make sure you have at least 3 bars on the car’s cellular signal strength meter during your update schedule. The car will not reliably download updates without at least 3 bars. ??

If that stuff fails, have your dealer’s service department look at the OTA Dashboard for your VIN. That will tell them what updates are pending, what’s completed, and what May or may not be stuck. They may have to do full diagnostics to figure out why you are not getting OTAs. You can post your VIN on the FDRS thread to see what specific module updates are pending for your car. ??

If you received updates last week I would just be patient and follow the advice provided. There was a six month period where I received none and believed I might have an issue then I was brought up to date fairly quickly in May.

The updates aren't cumulative then? I will receive them in order of release? The newest one won't be applied with everything so far to bring me up to date. What update has the fix for battery issue?

Sorry this is all new to me
Thanks

While updates aren't cumulative, per se, they do sometimes supercede specific older updates.

Also, if a vehicle is updated via laptop connection (e.g. at a dealer), then you probably won't receive the corresponding OTA packages since they're no longer relevant -- the impacted modules are already up to date.

Only Ford’s OTA team (really only a small part of that team) knows when a car will attempt an update and which one will be pushed at that time. Nobody outside of that group really has a grasp on their logic. It seems that some OTAs are planned for certain VINs at certain times. Those are all unknown variables to us outside of Ford. ?‍♂?

I just received a letter from Ford warning about updates, especially the charging update. It walks you through setting up automatic updates in English & Spanish. It tells you to make sure that your car has access to Wi-Fi. I park my car in the garage when not using it. I brought up the updates on my car and confirmed that it is hooked to my Wi-Fi. My car is up to date. It's that easy.
