Seeing used prices at around 40-50K. That means trade in is sub 40K. Almost half over new.

I got used '22 GTPE minimal miles for 58k out the door early this year as our second MME; it had a window sticker price of over 70k brand new. Wasn't a custom order so buyer probably paid additional on top of that. (So original owner maybe paid 30k to go less than 5000 miles.) I knew if I waited another 6 months it would be even cheaper. And so on. Got to pull the trigger when you need it and can afford it. It's not an investment. ?‍♂

I think the point of the original poster is that the MME being a rather new vehicle in the market, a performance crossover which have lots of appeal in general, is depreciating faster than average for its vehicle type.

Sales are soft ...
Inventory is sitting at dealers for many days...

Price drops are ugly. Some vehicles are dropping 50% in 3 years time.

I think EVs hit a hype cycle and now reality is setting in.

Quoting buy prices says at least as much about the buyer as it does the vehicle. Companies like Carvana paid way, way too much for vehicles over the last two years. When sales are slow everywhere and they're having solvency issues, they're going to lowball people.

I love cars, It is my main hobby since I was a kid, I quote few cars per week just for fun to see price trends, since I've quoted 100s of cars over the last 3 years, Carvana still send me price adjustments for all the cars I quoted, some days, I get 10 emails per day, this might be a shock, but Carvana still pays top dollar more than Carmax, Autonation and Vroom, Autonation in the last 3 months came below Carvana at least 10% for all cars that I quoted, in few cases, Carmax came about $2000 dollars more, Carvana may quote you today $40k for a car but next week may increase or decrease based on market, they are still a solid place to sell.
