That's the Lectron brand. It will work on a Tesla Destination charger as long as J1772 compatibility mode is enabled. The Tesla-Tap brand will work on any Tesla Destination Charger regardless of whether J1772 compatibility mode is enabled.
This is incorrect, neither TeslaTap nor the Lectron will work on a Gen3 wall connector with access control enabled. The TeslaTap cannot communicate with Teslaā€™s proprietary protocol, it relies exclusively on J1772 fallback to work. What you are thinking of is the switch on the Gen2 that puts it into J1772 first thing (compatibility) vs. timed fallback (default). Gen 2 and before will always switch to J1772 eventually.

You will not be able to charge from a Tesla Gen3 with access control turned on in settings since it completely disables J1772. You will eventually encounter this as people update the firmware and enable it.

Have you tested this? When I asked the folks at TeslaTap, they said it wouldnā€™t work at a Gen 3 destination charger if itā€™s set to only allow Teslas. I havenā€˜t been able to find one to test it.
This is correct, wonā€™t work in Tesla only mode.
