Valet Parking Charging

I stay in a lot of hotels for work in the LA area. Luckily most of the hotels have complementary EV chargers. My question is when the valet plugs in the car and then I’m ready for the car X hours later, I assume they just unplug it while it’s still hot and charging. Is this bad? Is there a way for them to stop the car from charging that’s not ford app based? Any suggestions? Thanks!

The charging stops as soon as they press the latch button, which a person does naturally while pulling the coupler from the vehicle.

There's a connection in that latch that is used for this purpose... So you are good to go. They don't need to do anything special.

It does on level 1 or level 2. For DC fast charging, you need to push the center of the circle next to the latch, and wait for the session to end (on the charger screen).
