I just picked up a premium AWD SR today in Richmond VA and am driving it 800 miles back home to Tampa area. Going to sell my 2013 Subaru Outback 3.6. I love the Outback, but after 500 miles today in rain and cold, the MME is amazing! Just the tech alone… BlueCruise, adaptive cruise, blind spot, etc. My Outback had a backup camera. This car is leap years ahead for me.

My MME GT PE replaced a 2002 Jaguar XKR. It was a wonderful, comfortable car with plenty of performance, but nothing compared to the MME GT PE, plus the MME is a lot more practical, comparatively WAY less expensive, and so far, way more reliable. I looked at new Jaguars, both the F-Type R and the I-Pace, but the MME hit all the buttons for me.

you seem to be in tech. i have found tech folks usually go for a Tesla. that wasn't on your radar?

Congrats!! My Wife drove hers home in a torrential downpour but we got it from a dealer in Avon Park which is only 25 miles from where we live!

My previous car was a heavily modded Volkswagen GTI.

Ford Mustang Mach-E Vehicle before MME 1644331474265

To say that the Mach E GTPE rides and performs better is an understatement. The GTI was much more harsh than this car (because it was lowered) and the power delivery isn't even comparable, even though my GTI was pretty fast in its own right. I will say that the GTI handled better than the Mach E, but I think that goes without saying given the weight difference.

Before I actually saw one in person, back in 2016 I plunked down reservation money on a Model 3. Fortunately, Tesla took over two years before they actually started delivering them, and by that time my wife was desperate for a new car, as her '06 VW Jetta TDI with 270,000 miles was on it's last gasp (we gave it to our son, he put a new engine in it, drove it a few weeks, then totalled it.) She bought a new 2017 Chevrolet Volt and with 110,000 miles now, it still drives like the day we got it, with no noticeable battery degradation. That Chevy was actually my "gateway drug" to the Mach-E.
Once I finally saw a Model 3 in person I was glad for the Volt, as it just didn't do anything for me. Poor fit and finish, paint issues, the "minimalist" (cheap) interior, and as a pilot, I didn't like the need to take my eyes off the road to scroll through multiple menus to do stuff I should be able to do with my eyes closed using muscle-memory. As an engineer, that is VERY POOR design, not "new and stylish". The MME isn't perfect in that regard, but it's a heck of a lot better than Tesla, IMHO.
A few of my co-workers have bought Tesla's and they seem to fall into two camps; Tesla Fanboy's who will never admit they made a mistake; and those who couldn't sell it fast enough or realized a BEV just didn't fit their lifestyle. I only know one guy who bought a model S new and kept it until it was past warranty. That kind of sealed it for me. Personal opinion, but buying a car is a very personal thing, and there is no right or wrong answer.

I go through cars too often. I traded in a 2020 Ford Escape Hybrid Titanium AWD for the MME GTPE. Before that, I had a 2016 Ford Fiesta ST, but the angle of the clutch pedal was killing my knee. Before that, I had a 2013 Ford C-MAX Hybrid SEL.

My hope is that I keep the MME at least 5 years...but I've said that before!

I came from a 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. Needless to say I also don’t see or feel the suspension issues people are having lol. The Mach-E truly rides great imo.

Thankfully it was just normal rain for my drive; not FL mid summer storm!

Low mileage 2012 Infiniti G37 IPL. This is Infiniti’s performance car. Loved it. Fast and drove great. Had no intention of replacing it. Five years from retirement and my boss wanted me to have a company car for my last five years. He knew I was eyeing the MME to replace our MKX. He suggested the company car be a MME GT I said yes. Debated on keeping the G, but we also have a ‘69 Mustang ‘vert and four cars just seemed ridiculous. So we sold the G and banked the proceeds. It was tough, but I absolutely love the GT. Exceeds my expectations even with the five second limit. I think Ford did a great job and it IS a Mustang! Forgot to mention that at retirement the GT is mine. Blessed to work for an awesome company!
