Hi Everyone - perhaps someone smart on this forum can point in the right direction on this puzzle. I was notified by my dealer some weeks ago that my Premium AWD with Ext. Battery was 'pulled' for ordering after many months wait (reservation placed in late Dec 2021).
The VIN ends in 50xxx so It should match up to those in the mid-Sept build week(s). HOWEVER, when I go into the Ford system and query my VIN and order #, I only show Order placed showing, no production date is scheduled NOR do I see any date returned using the Order tracking tool (although that shows I am about 107days shy of the 'estimated time in status' so maybe I can expect a production build in a week or two.
And yes, I did just receive the useless 'sorry' email from Ford apologizing for the delays..
I've spoken to the dealer many times and they too are not showing any production date which makes me nervous as I cannot afford a 10K price increase on the purchase (without purchase protection of course). I've seen some of you have already been contacted and that your orders have been flipped to a 2023 with 'some type of price protection but no-one knows what that will look like until you get the vehicle.
Hoping someone can shed some light on this for me. I know they don't allocate VIN #s typically without a scheduled build date ...
yours (hoping I don't end up with a '23MY)
