This is code. It means call Ford yourself for any info. 800-334-4375.
Spoke with Ford. They are very nice. They also told me that they have no info to provide me until I have a VIN. So they cannot give me info about when I will get a production date and a VIN until after I already have a VIN. Yeah. All I can do now is be patient, because I don't expect to be able to get x-plan pricing for a Premium AWD ER from dealer inventory.

I believe the guy was saying his production date showed up 3 days later, not the car. At least that's the way I understand it. If so, still pretty damn good.
Correct! The production date popped up on my Ford account. Who knows when the actual car will appear.

? You win (if that's the right word). Here I've been complaining about my March order without a production date. What're you waiting on?

Edit: actually looks like you're waiting on the exact same thing I am.

I ordered red Premium extended range AWD April 20 from a large volume NYC metro dealer. Last week the dealer updated me with production date week October 4. Dealer says I can reasonably anticipate delivery ~5 weeks after.

My wife and I ordered 2 on May 3. There is still no production date. We've each found cancelled orders (thanks to Ally At Asheville Ford, NC)

Technically our orders are still valid and ours to purchase.

I wonder if I can auction off the order info when they're a few weeks from delivery?

Now feeling - better isn't the right word - but less angsty about my DMG Prem ER AWD being ordered 4/30 and hearing not a word. I'm just not planning on it to arrive in 2021 at this stage.

I'm waiting on the same spec, ordered in CO on May 14. If a VIN/production week doesn't get assigned this week, then the order isn't getting filled (IMHO) because at that point, they will have filled up the queue for production through the end of the 2021 production run (only 3 weeks of production in Nov are left to be filled if I read the tea leaves correctly).

For an additional frame of reference, my order was submitted to Ford on June 23rd. Premium, AWD, extended range. Small NH dealership. Given all the chip/semiconductor shortage and supply chain news, I would not be surprised if I don't actually lay hands on my car until 2022. Not trying to be sardonic, just realistic.

Well, what a coincidence. Just heard from the dealer that I ordered from. She confirmed that if the order doesn't get accepted and scheduled by Thursday, it won't get built as the production run will be full. She has 67 orders in her order book awaiting a production date and she's not expecting very many of them to get scheduled this week. After that, its a 3 week period before the 2022 order book opens. However, she has an Premium, Extended Range AWD in Rapid Red with Black interior that was built last week she can offer me as the person who ordered it cancelled. It should be at the dealership in late Sept to early Oct, right about when I was originally expecting mine to arrive.

So if I don't get a production date by Thursday mine will be a 2022 ?

I had my dealer change my priority code to 11. He said I was next in-line to get my production date at his dealership. We’ll see what happens this week. Order 6/10 Florida

I'm in the same boat. Ordered directly via a Dealer in CO (one of the larger, but not the largest) on May 14. I have an order number, but no VIN and no Production Date (obviously). The dealer has about 10 in their order queue but they haven't had an allocation assigned to them in over a month. It seems to me that the 2021 model year production slots must already be full up.

I can't believe that anyone who orders today will get a 2021, but if you navigate the Ford site, they are still stating that 2021 orders can be made but also state a 24+ week wait. If its generally 6-ish weeks from production to delivery, that implies that someone ordering today will get a "2021" that is not manufactured until Feb. 2022. Makes no sense.
Which dealer? I ordered Premium Dark Matter Gray with light interior, extended range AWD from Phil Long in the Springs on Jul 01 which was logged into Ford on Jul 02. Production is scheduled for Sep 27.
