I called my dealer yesterday and he had my VIN #. BTW he also said it would definitely be a 2021 model year car (production week 10/11)
My dealer said 2021 production cut-off is 11/27
Last 2021 scheduling is 9/16

From that I get if you dont hear from Ford or your dealer by 9/16 +/- a week you're gonna get a 2022 model.

I pinged my dealer yesterday and he said he had no update from Ford. He said he still has no allocation, but also said he is not sure how Ford is doing EV allocations. So maybe my order is doing something and actually in a queue somewhere, but who knows? He said he forwarded my email to Ford, for all the good that will do. Ordered May 15.

I want my car. I would actually pay someone for it. Oh, wait. I already agreed to do that...

I'm in the same boat. Ordered directly via a Dealer in CO (one of the larger, but not the largest) on May 14. I have an order number, but no VIN and no Production Date (obviously). The dealer has about 10 in their order queue but they haven't had an allocation assigned to them in over a month. It seems to me that the 2021 model year production slots must already be full up.

I can't believe that anyone who orders today will get a 2021, but if you navigate the Ford site, they are still stating that 2021 orders can be made but also state a 24+ week wait. If its generally 6-ish weeks from production to delivery, that implies that someone ordering today will get a "2021" that is not manufactured until Feb. 2022. Makes no sense.

I received a very interesting email from my dealer today, and I have not seen this posted anywhere else, so maybe this is news to everyone. Apparently Ford is allocating 50% of MME production to ZEV states, and the remaining 50% to all the other states. (USA production, obviously.) My state, Virginia, is not a ZEV state, so that is one reason my order is going to take longer to fill.

What is a ZEV state, you ask? States that are mandating that a percentage of vehicle sales must be zero emission vehicles. Here is the list:

California, 1990.
Connecticut, 2008.
Maine, 2001.
Maryland, 2011.
Massachusetts, 1995.
New Jersey, 2009.
New York, 1993.
Oregon, 2009.
Rhode Island, 2008.
Vermont, 2000.

This really raises my pissed-off-ness to a new level. I get why Ford is doing this, but it pisses me off anyway.

I ordered first few days of april and no production date other than maybe late fall! The dealer even.said it might be a possibility that I get pushed back to a 22, witch im not so sore about if I get better specs.
Does anyone know what the specs will be for the 22?
The stories ive heard is the may be more range?
Hhhhmmmmmmm.

Colorado is a ZEV state. At least it’s signed. Starts January 2, 2022.

If I am right to assume by your name that you ordered in Albany NY this may solidify what was reported about priority allocations to ZEV states. Thought I'm sure there are more than a couple Albany's other than the well know one.

Congrats to you but it illustrates how unfair the Ford production scheduling is designed. So many have been waiting for months with no build date and you are lucky to get one in three days. Does that make sense?

His car was not ordered, built and delivered in 3 days. Not even close to possible. He got one off the lot that was declined by the person who ordered it.

I believe the guy was saying his production date showed up 3 days later, not the car. At least that's the way I understand it. If so, still pretty damn good.

Yes, I'm in Albany, New York. Georgia and Oregon are the other famous ones ;-).
