May order no production date.

That actually lines up with all the orders I have seen on the submitted orders post that are being given production dates despite being WELL after my order date of 5/21 in Nevada.

This is just one variable. I ordered only 2 weeks after you but am in California. Still ... nada.

So, just heard from dealer that my original order (5/14) actually did get scheduled for production on 11/22, the last week of 2021 production. I'm still going to take the alternate one they have offered, since the chance of a vehicle entering produciton on 11/22 actually getting in my hands this calendar year (can you say tax credits?) is virutally nil.

Same. My order was accepted 5/5 and today I see on the website they've scheduled production for the same week as you, 11/22. I'll be placing an order for the 2022 model on Monday, 11/27. The timing of the tax credit isn't important to me but this is the last year the state where I live will offer a deep registration fee discount on new BEV purchases. If I can't get in on that, I might as well buy a current-year model rather than last year's model.

I am pissed off that the state governments are mandating products that people may or may not want to buy. It is distorting the free market. Convincing my state politicians to do the same thing will just make the problem worse, not better. No thanks.

At the risk of turning a wonderful forum into a polarized political discussion, anything we buy and use has benefits and costs to society beyond what the buyer experiences. The free market does not consider these externalities, instead only considering local effects visible to the buyer. Dumping carbon into the air has a collective effect but virtually no effect on an individual, rendering the free market useless for managing carbon output.

Are you still scheduled for the week of 11/15? I noticed that my production date has been moved out another week, from 11/22 to 11/29. There's no chance it will be delivered before the end of the year if it isn't produced until the end of Nov or early Dec. I thought they'd be gearing up for 2022 model-year production at that point.

As of this morning, it’s still showing 11/15.
Now, do I believe it? Eh, not really. Everything can be pushed. And I definitely don’t expect delivery before the end of 2021, which, provided there aren’t major changes to the tax credit in 2022, is fine with me.

Got a late November build date after a five month wait.
Was hoping Id roll over to a 22 model but the closest I will get is delivery in 22 !
