Hi

Well another lesson learnt the hard way, by god this electrification is proving a little more complex than the ICE.

So Wallbox have a bit of a sale on their official Amazon Shop, Wallbox Pulsar Max with the 7m cable down to £550, think it's normally £750 so I buy it knowing my local electrician(I prefer to use local independents) is OZEV approved and is EVCIA accredited but Wallbox are suggesting they need to arrange the installation or the warranty is void ( effing cartel behaviour)

Also Bumblebee who clearly state on the website ' if you have your own charger don't worry we will install it' but according to the reps I've spoken to again they won't install a charger if they don't supply it due to warranty.

FFS what a car crash this is, don't have the time for this crap. Looks like i need to return the charger and start again

Have had good experience with the easee wall charger.

Think I paid about £500 for the box and about 350 to install, but had a non standard installation (underground garage long way from fuse board).

Fantastic app, and allows you to daisy chain multiple chargers from one main installation.

The Easee One charger looks very smart, small, discreet, nice design. Did you use them to fit it though? I want to use my local OZEVEVCIA electrician as I like to use local businesses.. I’ve emailed Easee as they don’t mention it has to be fitted by them for the warranty to remain intact but need to know for sure

I just bought it from cef and got the electrical contractor that works on the apartment building to install it. They couldn’t get the grant at the time but the rules for the ozev grant have changed since then.

My install was quite complicated as it included a separate distribution board and about 30m of cable, but Worked well. The easee unit can also be pre installed so you can get the base pre wired and add the actual charger part at a later date.

Hi mate, are you on an EV tariff such as OVO charge anytime or Octopus Intelligent?

No, just a normal tariff. Nobody was offering any special tariffs at the time. Since having car the charging has cost £300
