Hello, just wondering if anyone else has had a weird issue on the plastic trim in the MME.

Here's a picture showing what I mean:
Ford Mustang Mach-E Weird plastic trim issue (sticky) 432C577D-CF61-4788-B5E7-DF10B90150FC

This is above the rear passenger door and looks like the plastic is almost melting. It kind of looks like tree sap and it's sticky, except 1) parked in a garage since day 1, 2) the surface almost seems like it's dissolved.

Should I bring this up with the dealership or just deal with it?

I would bring it up with the dealer and see if Ford will warranty it. They may tell you the damage is your fault...but its a brand new car. The sooner you bring it in the better.

Edit: guess it wasn't melted. Mine didn't have this issue.

Mine has the same issue. Looks like something was stuck to it.

That looks like stuck/melted protective film that didn't come off cleanly. I'd try bug and tar remover and then maybe some polish?

Mine had this also on a few places. A little alcohol on a paper towel took it right off.

It's probably the adhesive transferring from all the white shipping protection tape. Test your solvent of choice before use.

Spray on some Goo Gone and Wipe it off. May take a little rubbing but will not hurt plastic or paint. That is what I used on my truck to remove some tape/adhesive that was left from shipping. It will also remove sap.

My salesperson cleaned it up using her fingers... If anyone else encounters this, rub slowly and firmly with your fingertips to slowly work it off of the plastics.

It's tape residue from papers or films that were attached at the factory.

one more things for @ChasingCoral 's checklist I guess: "rub your pony slowly, but firmly, to show appropriate affection"

a long time ago I was told by someone who owned a horse that Original Mane 'n Tail - (manentail.com) was not only what they used for horses but it's what people in the know used for people hair as well. looking at their web site, it seems the makers know that now.
How can they claim "Vegan formula" and boldly claim "original mane 'n tail" at the same time? Either it contains both mane and tail or it contains neither.

Frustrating that we have to put up with this false marketing.
