I got an email from Ford this morning saying my order was updated. I ordered a GTPE on June 17, 2021. On September 23rd my order status changed to In Production with a build week of 11/22/2021. I believe I read on another thread in this forum that the week of 11/22 is the last week of production for 2021 models. I used assistance on this forum to look up my VIN and retrieved 3FMTK4SX1MME04xxx from Ford's website. Isn't this a 2021 Model Year VIN? Ford just updated my build week to 11/29/2021. So am I getting a 2021, or a 2022? Hoping tax credit eligibility rules don't change if I take delivery in 2022, which I believe is now most likely.

Looks like a '21 VIN to me. Very interesting,

The date of 11/29 to start producing the 2022 model year is just a target. That could very well slip (and maybe already has).

Yup, that is a 2021 VIN, so it looks like 2022 production has slipped.

It is fairly unlikely the tax credit rules will change for 2022 to exclude people from the $7,500 unless you're making crazy, crazy money. They're talking about adding on additional funds on top of the $7,500 with possible income limits and renewing the base $7,500 to dealers that used it up, like Tesla.

If they add income limits, I will be toast. Then I will be trying to find this build on a dealer lot with zero or minimal ADM that I can purchase before the end of the year. That will not be an easy find.
