I looked at my window sticker and they delete the rating completely, I guess they figured out their mistake or misprint!

The real reason why I asked the question is that I purchased a "TeslaTap 50 AMP-High Power adapter and was of great fear that I would encounter a Tesla Wall Charger Gen 3 at 80 AMPS and was hoping the car would limit the Tesla Charger and I would not need the 80 AMP version (another $60 or so)!!!
There's actually been lots of discussion about the teslatap, and if it's a genuine teslatap the manufacturer has said that it will handle a sustained 50A. In general, since a L2 charger is running for many hours the wiring needs to be rated 25% higher than the actual current because the wires generate so much heat with sustained current. For example a 40A L2 charger (EVSE) must be put on a 50A circuit

Naah it only shows up on CA Route 1's--I guess there was room and they wanted to fill it with something. It may also show up on Select's.

Hmm perhaps I shall take a looksee LOL

Ok searching local dealer (to me) inventory, I find a select's window sticker: (Note that this window sticker was reprinted 7/2)

Another CA Route 1: (This one was reprinted 6/30)

If its a typo you'd think that someone would have fixed it by now??

Yeah it doesn't show up on Premiums--I guess its a detail left off when the B&O sound system is listed. The premium also doesn't list the max DCFC (which is correct above):

Hmm we do have people on here with 48a EVSE's that report out power/current (like I think the ChargePoint does). They likely have reported the max charging they have seen. My Juicebox does let me set the current and reports out how much the car is consuming, but I don't have it on a 60amp circuit sadly.

Ah ok from this post people, indeed are getting 11+kW:
What I can say is that I get 11.28kW per hour. Or about 240v at 47a. Give or take recharging at about 34.986 miles per hour (at my avg 3.1 miles per kw).
Interesting...Ford should fix that typo LOL.

I can tell you the thing is pretty beefy, huge wire and the copper lugs are impressive so I think it's built well, I was wondering if the 80 AMP version was bigger? If it is WOW!

I have a JuiceBox rated for 80 amps and when its contactors close I get a satisfyingly loud "thunk" from it. (Sadly, like I mentioned above, the circuit it is on is rated for less than 1/2 that.)

I know what you mean about the clunk, I was an industrial maintenance electrician and loved to hear those 2300VAC contactors close on an 200 HP motor, makes the ground shake LOL!

My window sticker says 10.5kW:

The only place I've seen a max listed...my window sticker !?

Does that 48 amp charger actually mean a 48 amp circuit (e.g. max continuous current of 80% of 48 amps or 38 amps--10.5kW is around 43 amps)?? (Yeah I know this has been beaten to death elsewhere in the forums LOL)
I’m guessing that 10.5kW is the Max the MME can charge, so they fitted it with an 11.5kW mac EVSE so charging is still at 10.5 after heat loses, etc.

Yeah I had considered that: 11.5kW is what goes into the car, but not necessarily the battery.

Just looked through my EA text receipts and found this one. Pretty impressive at 207kW, no idea how long it stayed there tho.

Yes, that's the info I was looking for. New to EV so not real clear on terminology just yet.

I could have sworn I saw above 150kW recently for a short period of time ?‍♂

Thanks
you did see it.
I think when I charge mine once it peak at near 160 KW but my AC was on plus charging losses and it dropped a little

You will be fine. on TeslaTap you want the tap to be able to exceed what the max your car can take as the tap is just a dumb pass through.
The Tesla charge say 80 amps tells the Mach E. "I can supply you 80 amps of power".
The Mach E says, "Cool, give me 43 amps".

The issue with getting say a 40 amp Tesla Tap is on the same system Telsa charger says I can give you 80 amps. Mach E says Cool give me 43 amps.
Your poor Tesla tap over heats and risk melting.

Yeah I know, but I think it's a typo on the window sticker. The ford connected charger has to go on a 60A circuit, so it is indeed a "real" 48A draw.
That info is not on my sticker.
