Wow, what a condescending answer. I obviously have the manual in every device and use it often.
And for the ones challenged with basic text comprehension, try to read the question 3 times before you post something completely misaligned with what was asked.

Condescending?

I'm sitting here laughing. As a 25 year technology worker, I'm shocked that you know what the word manual means. Buh-duh-boom.

You'd be shocked (well, you wouldn't, given your attitude) at how many people don't know that they can find the manual online, in PDF form, and complain about sitting in their vehicle reading it, or on their tiny phone screen in FordPass because they don't know how to get it in PDF form. Or, that a PDF can simply be printed at a Kinkos or or Office Supply store, and bound. Then they complain about the size of the printed copy, they want a smaller one. Many went to a website and paid for a copy that a company overseas, on a very questionable website, was offering (no longer around).

So condescending? Not that post. But this one is.

Nope. I read the manual at least 3 times during the long wait for my car. Spending this much money on a car without being bothered to learn everything about it is a foreign concept to me.

I don't understand these kinds of comments. In the time it took you to read it and post a comment you could have just skipped it, moved on and done something more useful with your time.

I posted because I noticed it while in my car, did not have a manual handy and thought I would try to get an answer before I forgot about it. If you find answering too much trouble then don't answer. its really not that hard.

I read the manual a couple if times and I didn't recognize that symbol either. Auto Hold was the very first thing that I turned off when I got the car. Did it before leaving the dealership.

I've found that if you place the person or persons that are condescending on "ignore", the site is much more enjoyable. In fact, I didn't see the condescending remark, so I can honestly say it works incredibly well.

Nope,
I downloaded my manual the day I ordered my MME and also when it was updated to a 22MY. I live by the motto I learned in bible school; "God helps those who help themselves". Now mind you I'm not a religious person but that one comment I heard so many years ago has stuck with me to this day.

Here is some more 411 for you, the manual is available in the car on the Sync screen via the Apps drawer (touch the Pony icon).

Everybody goes through a steep learning curve in this beast. As someone who made a living out of producing User Manuals, I feel Ford has provided very good documentation for the MME.

I have never used it. To me, an open exchange even when insults are used is better than no exchange at all. I feel like if we are unwilling to engage with others we disagree with, society suffers. Poor communication is better than no communication, IMO, because at least we are talking.

I wonder how many people have blocked me. I try to be civil but my politics are hard to hide, and people are sometimes very intolerant of different politics.

It didn't seem condescending to me. I thought Rick's last paragraph was in general, not to you specifically. At least that is how I read it.

And it would have helped if you had provided more information such as "I already have multiple soft copies, but would like to buy a Ford printed and bound hard copy for my car", or something like that. Because it is not obvious you have multiple soft copies already.

I see. Explain yourself exhaustively before you ask anything silly to avoid judgment and prejudice. Got it, thank you.

Rick, whatever you say. I don’t think anything bad about you and read much of your content here. That particular answer was condescending to me and hit me wrong reading it on a Sunday morning. It happens, no big deal. And I wasn't condescending, I was overly sarcastic and offensive, different insult. ?

Same. I have never used the ignore setting and it really doesn't affect me if someone says something condescending. If that was the case, then my marriage would have ended a long time ago.

Heck, half the time I deserve it anyway....

True but there is a difference between someone who disagrees with you and someone who is disrespectful. Listen to the first, block the second
